Dan, you truly are the best!! I loved the episode with Alexi, “Struggling to Go to the Barber”. I think you did a fabulous job on his hair and I loved how he felt comfortable enough to discuss his mental health issues with you. I am a woman who has suddenly started losing small patches of hair, alopecia areata, and it can be very isolating. I am hopeful there is something out there to help me. For most of my life I have had very short hair and love it. Have you ever cut women’s hair?

I don’t know why, but Jamie’s haircut brought a tear to my eyes. It was exactly what he needed. I can just imagine how he felt having to hold his hair down in the wind with the combover - and then his realization that a short cut could mean not having to do that again. His confidence grew right in the barber’s chair and he looked great with the short cut! A haircut and counseling session in one.

Dan I’m a 73 year old grandmother and I love watching you work! The way you are with the people who come into your shop is heart warming. You take the time with each one to make sure they are getting what is best suited to them I call it the Dan touch. You should be very proud of yourself and your abilities. Jamie was the very first video of yours that I watched and it was very emotional and touching to watch, I'm so happy to hear that it was your favourite too! Love watching these amazing transformations. I’m a 55 year old woman and I cut my Trans sons hair because the Turkish Barbers where we live refuse to cut their hair and hairdressers just don’t give them the hair cut they want. I’ve learnt a lot on here to help me give him the cut he wants. I’ve been doing it since they were 15 and he’s almost 21 and I’ve definitely got better at it over the years - I watch KZfaq vids to help me and him. Subscribed! ❤

Well that was a revelation on so many levels. As someone who never misses an episode (and is sad I live so far away), this was perfection. The humanity of your choices, these are all people who trust you implicitly and look to you for guidance, some more vulnerable than others but likely most are somewhat anxious. What you bring out of them then on to all of us viewers is inspiring. Very moving, Dan. Thanks for sharing this more personal side. Dan, the best one is Angelo's finished cut. It was so versatile and clean cut, I would say best Smart casual haircut. The way you created that cut was so effortless but magical and for Angelo it seemed dream come true 👍! I am addicted to these videos. These transformations are just …. awesome! I think there must be magic in Dan’s scissors! one of my favorite videos was of the young man with the thinning hair. I don’t recall his name. But the shorter hair seemed to draw more attention to his beautiful eyes.

Like many, I came across your videos during the pandemic. Your interactions with your clients are so great. As fascinating to watch as the cut itself. I think everyone viewing your videos must want to be sitting there having that quality experience, though like many, it would involve us all in a long airplane trip and a UK vacation. I think they were alll brilliant but yes the number one was very touching .He was extremely young to loose his hair..I think the shorter style made it less obvious and him being quite fair was in his favour too.I hope the medication helps him,but what you did for him really did that was clear.He went out positive with hope.You do amazing work 🥰

Dan the man. I can’t express how much I appreciate your talent. I am an 84 yr old man, with a few strands on top and full sides and back. I have been to hell and back with haircuts, mostly back! I won’t bore you with my history with hair. I am so do for an expert cut, I will take to the guides and scissors tomorrow. Don’t shrike, I have done it for years. I wish the barbers around here knew how to do great scissor cuts the way you do. All they seem to know how to do is buzz hair off. I haven't had my hair cut in a barber shop in decades, and have been going to a hair stylist forever. Now, I take my grandson to her as well. Enjoy your videos. They have a Zen-like quality to them.
