A GRWM style video of a new Regency hairstyle I tried for the first time.

I came up with this hairstyle idea just the morning before the event, so in this video you can follow me along, as I try some techniques for the first time and test various ideas to finally pull together an elegant Regency Hairstyle with a vortex bun, dry rag curls, a fabulous bow made from scrap fabric and lots of Bling!
If you've tried this hairstyle for any Regency or non-historical event, please let me know how it worked!

Yes, this could be varied for many epochs when bangs/front curls were "necessary" (but I´m damned if I´m cutting a single hair that short)! Will be using!

I most definitely would! It will have to wait a little longer though, as I’m just about to move and my days are busier than ever. Haircare is a dense subject, and I really want to do it proper justice :)

You can never wear too much bling for historical hairstyles!! That's a beautiful hairstyle, and your videos remind me why I've always wanted to grow my hair long. And by the way, your dress is gorgeous!! I'm assuming you made it, since you had leftover scraps? Health issues have taken their toll, my hair isn't thick and growing like it used to be, and I just do my best for now. I am getting better, and I hope I will get my hair to grow again in the coming years.

Late to the party, and my instinct is that it's too much for afternoon tea, but 1) not my period so could be wrong and 2) even if not, I'm sure some Regency era women liked being a little extra if they could get away with not being perfectly correct

Aniwantsbeer megértem :) én is sokat fontolgattam, hogy is szólaljak meg, de arra jutottam, hogy angolul sokkal több embert tudok megszólítani, és így több emberhez tud eljutni a magyar népi kultúra is, akár a bolygó másik oldalára, más kontinensekre :)
