Eliza and Dan James are regenerating a degraded 1000Ha property in southern Western Australia with smart farming and smart fences. Their use of regenerative grazing practices and support from Gallagher and Landcare with a fencing grant have allowed them to better utilize the natural capital on their property. Their management approach has seen the re-introduction of perennial grass species in just a year. Find out about their journey ad careful stewardship of the land in this inspritational visit.

Thanks Tim, What a brilliant story. It gives me great hope for our future in the agri space with people like Eliza & Dan. It makes a mockery of the Greenies banging on about our farmers are destroying the farmland. Thanks again Tim, fantastic story. Cheers

Brilliant story. The evidence in support of land regeneration practices is, as they say, overwhelming. Great to see a continuing focus on this important topic Tim. Thank you!

That Allan Savory/Holistic Farming chart at @8:05 could be an episode by itself! Lots of information encoded there...

Interesting vid and just what we're doing here on the southern tablelands of NSW - strip grazing sheep behind e-fencing...works a treat. There's a bit of work to do though...regen ag has copped a hiding in THE LAND newspaper recently...there is still a majority of "experienced graziers" who are quite disparaging of regen...seems that the flawed concept of "this is the way we've always done it and this is the way we'll continue to do it" is alive and well.

People don’t change until they fail Ross. And with the financial pressures of large scale farming I’d never criticise someone for trying to ensure that they make it through the season.

Matthew Izod, in Oxfordshire, had an interview with a UK-based farmer and podcaster, Ben Eagle. Matthew opened up about the fear of failure that this interview touches on. Here is the link. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hrF7dstyyKelg40.html It is at about 28 minutes into this interview.

Hi Tim, do you know if they put on any fertilizer, or is it just what comes out the back end of the stock

I’m pretty sure it’s what comes out the back end but I’m checking with them to be sure….. however don’t disregard good fertiliser choices if needed.
