The reality is that almost halft the graduates will be out of the military within a year. 3/4 within 2 years There might be one or two left after five. Too bad civilian employers didn't have the retention issues of the CF. It might lead to some much needed changes

@@Canadian-Asian-dude just make sure your fit and have a lot of cardio and drink lots of water. dont smoke cigs and have constant communication between other candidates when given as task .

@@tg13fire No they don’t, Uniforms, Name tags, are provided by the DND. I would be amazed if someone could show me the paper trial of how maybe two bottle drives a year, buy uniforms for a squadron, corps of cadets. They receive a good portion of funding by the DND, Cadets also go to camps for free, also provided and funded by the DND

The boots are different because the CAF has many issued boot styles and many civilian military boots are authorized. The boot standard in the military basically died a few years ago.

Nasty comment. It's great marching. I have seen regular force marching worse than this. Especially US army. Dreadful. For a reserve graduation, these are excellent marchers.

Shads. I did Basic Training with the Princess Louise Fusiliers infantry reserve unit in 1987 and then did reg force Basic at Cornwallis in ‘89 and there’s no comparison. This stuff is the kiddie pool comparatively speaking. But good on these people for giving some level of service.

@GeoffCK "I'm a veteran so watch your tone" the epitome of entitled. You worked a job for the government for a little bit. Yes I'm a veteran, from a period of war as well. Can assure you military today is vastly more capable and effective than the 90s by a factor of 10. Though it's always "back in my day...", yeah we dropped a lot of that crap for a reason.
