All the comments are about how Regine and Leila's relationship is so admirable. Well, that's because it is! But can we also acknowledge how Nate is just there, but being so behave and not being too papansin. They raised a good, polite, and smart kid. Kudos.

We were raised like that too. When we were younger we never interrupts when adults are talking. I remember I was already in my 20s when my mother's friends visited we would stay away after greeting them, then we later learned that they were wondering why we never interact with them much.

This kind of scene is rather normal in western families. Filipinos should learn from them. Most often than not step families or second families are seen as kontrabida esp in philippines na walang divorce. Either inagaw or inagawan. Hahahah but yeah.. this is how celebs should be, a good example to public . This is a nice content

I think Regine is the first big artist to fully delve into this topic? Taboo pa rin ito sa ating mga Pilipino pero this is more common than we realize. Itong issue na to is always tinatago kasi at kinakahiya. Maraming relate dito I'm sure.

Michelle Van Eimeren and Regine Velasquez are basically truly GOOD people, definitely NOT perfect BUT GOOD & REAL, that's the way I see it - they are both as we say in the vernacular "edukado", regardless of educational attainment, yes both are edukado, it shows! They have been more than civilized, actually really warm towards each other and their respective children, that they have treated "each other's family" as an extension of their own. Michelle is a multi-lingual college graduate, competent actress and was once a Miss Australia. Regine, on the other hand is a graduate of the school of hard knocks, is no stranger to hardwork, and "rose from the entertainment ranks" by sheer talent (and having a good head on her shoulders), a visual artist and THE Asia's Songbird - achievements that could have easily turned these women into "Drama Queen Divas" and consequently be at loggerheads with each other, what with the GINORMOUS EGOS they SHOULD HAVE HAD by now - But NO, NONE of that for these ladies! Regine is so real and humble, enough to even mention to Leila at the end of the video as preview for the next one, "I don't know if I have apologized to you?" Though maybe, the start of her relationship with Leila's dad, Ogie may have NOT been the direct reason for Michelle and Ogie to split up, but IT definitely WAS the major reason why they could no longer get back together, for indeed Ogie & Regine have fallen in love despite the circumstances. This, I guess, made Regine feel "guilty" for being responsible for the eventual estrangement of father and daughters. I think her realness and humility stem from being, ironically, confident of her accomplishments that she worked hard for, through the years. Firming up her understanding of how it is for one to start from the bottom and emerge at the top. That she is loved and respected by family, friends, fans and colleagues and, of course by Ogie, has added on to that "self-assurance". Regine confident and loved, as she entered into this relationship, knew she DIDN'T and MUSTN'T have to compete with anyone, not with Michelle nor her daughters by Ogie. So Real because she knew and recognized how her and Ogie's love story started. Very humble to accept that before her, there was someone else AND the children would never be relegated to just "incidentals", because to a parent's perspective, Regine undoubtedly understood that they came first. More so when she became a mother herself, hence her genuine concern, love and care for her husband's children by a previous relationship, and thus began to treat them like HER OWN. It can be said that Michelle's goodness is reflected on her daughters' personalities, particularly Leila, whom the public has begun to take notice of, as well as, get to know bit by bit, lately. She is simple and straightforward though her parents/family belong to the "privileged few" in this country, some would go as far as branding them entertainment royalty. She obviously got the best of both her parents genes in the looks department, evidently talented enough to enter showbizness & clearly articulate - some qualities she can use as an excuse to throw her weight around but has seemingly not. Michelle, I think realized early on, that though it didn't work out between her and Ogie, the children need not suffer beyond the pain caused by the separation. As a mother, she knew that in order for her children to grow up truly happy human beings, even with a situation like theirs, she should provide an environment conducive to such. Results are quite apparent in the love, trust and respect the kids have for their father Ogie, the adoration and care for their little half-brother Nate, and the admiration for their lovable step-mom, Regine, as they plainly hold her in high esteem. I hope we have more of this kind of enviable and admirable "blended families" - the Alcasid-Velasquez-Van Eimerens - in our society, then a more peaceful world it would be.

This is one of the best and most articulate KZfaq comments I have read! Kudos for the well-written, in-depth and positive observation. This is even better than the so-called entertainment columns/commentary in major broadsheets. I do agree with everything you wrote and have great respect for both women : Michelle and Regine. They show us that having 2nd family can be "drama-free" unlike what is usually depicted in teleseryes. I guess for foreigners like Michelle, it's not much of a big deal. A big factor probably is that in Australia, the grandparents and extended family do not meddle as much with the affairs of other family members unlike here. Add to that, the pressure to appear perfect in society.

You know not everyone is lucky to have a loving and caring step mother. I've heard a lot of horror stories about step mothers. This right here is pure mother daughter relationship goals. You two are lucky to have each other. Much love to you both! Real talk suggestion, self acceptance. There are people who are really struggling with who they are because society some what dictates that. I've had so many conversations with people who are battling self acceptance. I think you're the perfect person to start this conversation because a lot of people look up to you,so it will hit different. I hope you can consider it and do it one of these days

May this serve as a reminder that a stepfamily does not always have to be horror stories. I've met Regine back when I was I'd say 12 or 14 years old. My nanay was talking to her dad while they were rehearsing in Abelardo Hall, in UPdil. I was sitting next to my nanay and was listening to Ariel and Regine's duet. I was so happy and was so amazed by their performance. Mind you, the only audience were me, my mom, and her dad, plus I believe one of her PAs. I did not notice her walking towards us, she then asked me and said hello, ayos lang ba performance ko? I said while stuttering, opo. She said aw thanks. She again approached me and asked, ano ba magandang pelikula ngayon? I replied, Anastatia. She excitedly said, ok ok papanoorin ko yan after neto. Infairness, she's very grounded. I liked her eversince 🥰 truly a very down to earth person. I'm not surprised that she'd be a great stepmom to Ogie's daughters.

This is why I love KZfaq. Life does not come with a guidebook especially for people like us who found true love in unconventional ways. Finding myself in a role of a stepmom at 29 gives life a different angle compared to the ladies in my circle who also got married at the same time as I did without such added bonus. The complications of trying to be good and responsible for another person without going beyond boundaries is not an easy task but one that is welcomed to help modern families work. Thanks to Regine, and other modern day celebs who’ve been kind enough to share their tough experiences, we somehow get a glimpse of what worked and might actually work for us. In a way, there’s more to the vlangs than the likes & product sponsorships. It helps humanise the things that our traditional society has considered as stigma. So excited for the next part!

Love love love. Just shows how well Michelle raised her children. A real beauty queen shows real love to her children, love that breaks boundaries, love that is beyond norms, love that fosters love in others.

I was literally tearing up the moment they started discussing step-parenting. Lol Though I cannot relate to the topic ‘cause I’m not and have never experienced such, but I know that’s never an easy situation to be in. Both of y’all are blessed to have each other. I can tell Regine is a loving and genuine person. But Regine can’t function as a good step mom to Leila if Leila wasn’t/isn’t cooperative and doesn’t respect Regine as well. So it really goes both ways. Both did a great job on building their relationship to get to where they are now. A story like this makes my heart really happy. Something that’s not very common, and for lack of better terms, not very “acceptable” in our Filipino culture, can actually work when there’s love. Love is and will always be the key. Can’t wait for the second part! God bless y’all! ❤️ Love from CA.

All the love for Queen Regine for she is the real epitome of “Mother” naiyak ako kasi galing din ako sa broken family.. labu labu talaga.. may first family si daddy, ganun din si mommy.. lahat yun pinakisamahan namin ng kuya ko.. tagal din kasi nag abroad mommy ko.. tas pag uwi di sila ok ng daddy ko.. so longing ako sa aruga at pagmamahal ng isang ina.. at dami rin naming di pag kakasundo at pagkakaunawaan.. tas ending mawawala lang sya bigla.. masarap parin yung lumaki ka ng may ina.. kaya ngayon miss na miss ko na sya.. she died May 31 this year at sobrang mahal ko si mommy.. kaya I’m happy to see this kind of vlang sobrang nakaka inspire po. Love your Mother, Father and the rest of the family ❤️

Well, what can i say? Regine V-A., is a person you should give full respect to, not just being a good woman, a song bird, but because she is Regine Velasquez with high standard qualities of being a human being. She’s a packaged. I’d be very proud and thankful if i was her step-daughter. Regine Velasquez has been my family, cousins and relatives’ favourite singer for decades because she’s extremely admirable. I think it’s so obvious naman. Wala ng makakapantay kay Regine. Nag-iisa lang yan. ❤️ More videos please, lolz. 😂
