Sandman is an OG Wave with better stats right now, it’s definitely a Buff! Once people start realizing how to utilize him, he will receive a Nerf soon.

Def should be Cull instead of Crossbones. You can move Nightcrawler to whatever lane you need to flip. And the best part is you don’t have to keep the nightcrawler there since you can just move him back before you end your turn.

Thanks for the video and the deck. I've seen some speculation that Sandman might work in a Shuri deck now; Shuri on turn 4, Sandman on turn 5, doubling his power, and then you can play Taskmaster or another big power card on turn 6, and your opponent has to try and play catch up on two lanes with only one card.

Think this would be smoother with squirell girl, cull, red hulk instead of Nico/crossbones/doom. Feel like not having a big drop on 6 is iffy. Squirell’s help early prio and with nightcrawler as well cull has a wider possible range of plays than crossbones. Could run cull/crossbones and cut Jessica but jess is a sure thing 9 power. I’m going to give it a test drive with the subs I mentioned. Also wonder if Jeff would be better than Medusa. Less power but not restricted to middle and can give two possible moves on 6 with Nc/jeff. Also could play Jeff and a cull or gladiator on 6 if necessary. Just seems like a better range of coverage.

I think what people are seriously missing about the new sandman is the potential to completely disrupt a lot of decks, particularly combo decks or decks with busy turn 6's with Sera

I actually loved the Castle Zemo Hot Location. But i mainly play Sandman Ramp so it was always great to give the opponent the Electro. You could snap everytime you had electro in hand.

My thoughts on the patch: Hated it at first, but once I re-learned how to build decks without Zabu, it's actually quite fun. I hope Zabu comes back someday, but I actually really love how many fun tech options there is and how that has made the game way more board and stat centric while still leaving room for some counterplay, it's an interesting and pure meta, maybe a little too pure though.

I like this deck a lot actually. I’m playing Rulk, Iceman, and Jeff in place of Doom, Nightcrawler and Nico.

I would find a spot for Hope here. That would kinda grant you a double T6, Sandman + 1 drop or the two 6 drops, in case Sandman doesn't show up.

Playing the deck I would replace Nico with something like scarlet witch. One really bad matchup for this deck are combo decks that run magik, because they can just wait the extra turn to play all their cards. Having some ability to change the location and remove Limbo can help you against decks like Hela and Tribunal.

I enjoy listening to Regis preemptively defend his comments and argue to himself over convos and criticisms that have yet to happen.😂

Mogwai recently uploaded a tempo list very similar to this one but he runs Cosmo, juggernaut and daredevil as tech cards. You should check it out, maybe a fusion of both decks would work even better

I loved this patch. First they fixed text on cards making the text on pixie more clear and fixing the text on Shadow King that has annoyed me for soooo long (weird me thing I know) second the cards that were buffed needed it, as this video proves Sandman is buffed and I love it, and Lady Deathstrike is now more reliable and third the big talking point the debuffs: Alioth unquestioningly needed a rework and I think they nailed it here bigger power so it’s playable and it’s text makes it still pretty good in the right hands/decks. And Zabu as the patch says is temporary while they do some behind the scenes number crunching and measurements with four costs so a sad change but ultimately I bet it will make the game way better even if we as the players never see how that behind the scenes info impacts it. And he will be buffed again afterwards. Oh forgot to mention: Steong Guy great change now usable, and the store changes are also great though I hope they mess with the pricing a bit.

I love the sandman change, I feel like it will make us see him more often. Alioth is less upsetting to deal with now but still scary. But yeah they kinda gutted Zabu. Still a cool patch though

Been having some trouble with a Red Hulk Zemo mill deck, my destroy and an On Going Tribunal getting 90-100. Tried this deck and got to 100 in an hour..

Unlike Zabu, I think Sandman and Strong guy are more alive then ever and could actually find place in some decks. (Like in this video) But it looks really annoying to deal with green shirt man😅 Still is fun to watch tho🔥

Shang-chi is way more annoying than Alioth. For the most part Alioth was only played on the last turn and priority was required. Shang can be played as early as turn 3 and can’t always be stopped.

What if Zabu was reworked again into something like 2/2 On reveal: Until the end of the next turn, your 4-cost cards cost 2 less. It would make zabu play very differently, hogging him in hand until the time is right, yet still strong. Also, Absorbing Man would finally have a reason to be in this deck.

The Sandman change buffed Sandman but destroyed Electro. There's no reason to play Electro now because you can't curve into Sandman on turn 4
