It's taken a while, but here they are, the complete ten etudes by Regondi.
I hope that this video proves to be a valuable resource for students and professionals alike and of course I hope that non guitarists will enjoy listening to these works.
Thanks to D'addario for their continued support. Medium tension Pro Arte used on this recording.

I have a couple of video study guides on my website which will be of enormous help to you if you are brave enough to tackle these studies! Click the link below to download.
www.classicalguitar.online/les...
Because of lockdown I couldn't get into the church to finish the full series of studies which was a shame, and I had to film numbers 5 and 10 myself which resulted in some not so good camerawork! Apologies, but I felt I couldn't wait any longer to get it done.
Some of my older listeners may not be aware of these studies, but the younger players will. The reason for this is that they were only re discovered in 1987! Nowadays, Regondi is mainstream repertoire, but not so much in the early 80s and before.
Giulio Regondi (1823 - 6 May 1872) was a Swiss-born classical guitarist and composer active in France and (mainly) the United Kingdom.
Regondi was born of a German mother and an Italian father in Geneva, Switzerland. A child prodigy, Fernando Sor dedicated his Souvenir d'amitié op. 46 to Regondi in 1831, when the boy was just nine.
There is a reference to his appearing in London in 1831, presented as a child prodigy of the guitar;
"An interesting little boy of the name of Regondi, apparently between six and seven years of age, performed a fantasia on the guitar, with most manly power and surprising brilliancy. He was seated on a stool, which was placed on the pianoforte."
I hope you enjoy this series, please like, comment and subscribe if you do.
Thanks to Bim for his great camerawork in the church.

@davidjaggs
@davidjaggs 2 жыл бұрын
@@mikehoehn1475 Possibly. Mine is 4.5mm on bass E and between 3.5 and 3.75 on treble E. It depends on your playing too. If you play hard, loud rest strokes it could be too low, but if you're a light player you might get away with it. You can always have a couple of bridges made. Hope it turns out well! I think this is discussed in one of my videos here; kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z5pjg7iZ3s6RfoE.html

Please try to present both hands. Unless one knows for sure what is of utmost importance when it comes to guitar playing, presenting just one hand is rather uninformative. This is to say that the player and the microphone are great but the image should improve if the aim is to cater for guitar players and students.
