I remember working at a park as a part of maintanence while I was in community college (I'm around Mordecai and Rigby's age and lived there at their housing for free as a part-time worker since the park was owned by the college), so this show kinda resonated with me, minus the whole random shit that happens lol.

I've watched The Power three times and have watched two, and now three people react to it and I'm literally JUST NOW realizing they could've just sang a song about making the hole in the wall to disappear. There was no reason they had to only manipulate people

Just in case y’all are still confused, it is a park, but the house is Pop’s house, since his family owns the park. And the RV you saw in episode 3 when they were working overtime was where Muscle Man lives. Mordecai and Rigby are allowed to live there since they’re workers, and skips also has his own house on the park. Benson doesn’t live on the park though, you’ll see where he lives later… and honestly I forgot if High 5 Ghost lives with muscle man or if he just never mentions his house

The Regular Show universe is impossible to explain but fun to watch

The first season is the most "explicit" out of all the seasons. Its only in a couple episodes but they do say 'H' , 'S' and Pissed. Cartoon Network definitely wanted to aim this show towards an older teen audience. But around the time of season 3 onwards it was getting more popular with younger viewers and eventually they did go back and censor those words on all future reruns. The "Slack Pack" is the name of the first DVD collection that was released for the show, and it was made before any of the changes. Hence why its the only set that is uncensored. From that point forward, all future DVDs and reruns of season 1 would air censored. It makes sense because at the time they were ultimately targeting this show for kids on their kids network, but it kinda sucks that they wouldn't use the original audio on Max, considering they were able to use the original subtitles.

People reacting to Regular Show for the first time will never not be hilarious. Once y’all noticed the coffee bean I was like “you are not ready for this shit”. 🤣

There is an iconic line that happens in the Hot Dog Episode that is changed and is the biggest example of censorship. It happened after season 1 and kinda stayed that way until the end of the series.

I saw the very first episodes when the show aired (teaser trailers were hilarious). They indeed said "pissed" and other soft curse words, as the show was meant to air in Adult Swim, before switching to CNs 7pm late programming. Once it became CNs biggest success along with Adventure Time, and Amazing Word of Gumball for the 2010s, CN decided to censor it.

I used to binge watch this show so much, for me it used to be Adventure Time and Regular show on repeat through my early teens, however saying that I forgot a lot of what happens in Regular show so this will be a treat.

This show came out after I was already out of high school and I wasn’t watching cartoons on TV much anymore (or at least new ones) I was mainly into movies and anime at the time. My husband loves this show and I noticed him watching one day a few years ago; I watched several minutes and then next thing he knew I was begging him if we can start it from the very beginning and watch all the seasons together. I became obsessed and couldn’t believe how I’d slept on this show all this time. We reference so many songs and lines from this show and always share a good laugh. Glad you guys are enjoying it!

Regular Show was one of the shows that were when CN had balls & was aimed to older audiences as well as younger, not surprising that it has been.

The show was slightly censored but it's not like they were ever swearing or anything, it's still a show for kids lol. They did actually say 'H' and 'S', not hell and shit. And I'm fairly certain most of the 'censoring' is done in the first couple of episodes only

I regret not watching it when new episodes aired on CN, especially the final episode. I watched it months ago and I can tell how special it must have been for the fanbase years ago. I never cried watching a cartoon ‘til that 🙃🙃

I’m pretty sure I had the dvd of the uncensored version of The Power but that was years ago. It was either the slack pack or party pack dvds. I think most eps are censored though unless you look online

So pretty much, Mordecai and Rigby work at this big ass park owned by Pop’s dad. Living in the house is one of the perks that comes with the job. No idea how CN let them get away with it but they did curse a bit in the beginning of the show but eventually CN started censoring everything unfortunately. They also use hella songs from the 80s which is one of my favorite things about the show. 😮‍💨👌

I distinctly remember Mordecai & Rigby walking through the woods and Mordecai saying "Nah.. Benson is gonna be pissed, so we shouldn't." to an idea Rigby had, I rewinded it several times just to confirm what i actually heard and it blew my young mind that cartoons could swear.

The subtitles are showing what was originally said in the show. "H" and "S" was the in-show censor, and the audio is double censored by using heck and stuff. Also, the original short is called "2 in the AM PM" if anyone wants to check that out.

Regular show came out a little later when i started growing out of watching cartoons. But my little brother was into it and got me into it. This and adventure time where the really good cartoons after my era. Those where the days when cartoon network started declining since its peak in the early 2000s

It's only the first couple episodes that had originally been allowed to use harsher words, they dropped that later since it would just be censored anyway. So I'd recommend simply searching for the relevant clips on KZfaq to see what it sounded like.

The earliest episodes of the first season were uncensored, right when the show first aired my dad bought the first couple of DVDs and Mordecai and Rigby would say H, S, and Pissed but after that they stopped. Also this show was literally a bridge between Cartoon Network and Adult Swim because it aired around 8 o’clock or 8:30

If you like regular show, you guys should try their other project called Close Enough. Its very similar just with different characters and its more adult
