I picked up a .575 when I set up a 20 gauge a week or 2 ago. I really like the way it shoots. It was the Cabela’s BlackMaxx, which is the same as the Redhead Blackout.

I have the Redhead version of that choke for my New Haven 600CT(Mossy 500), and it shoots great for me.

Looking promising. The rolling crimp reminds me the good ol paper shells

A lot of turkey ammo is roll crimped. You can get a lot of shot in the hull and forgiving pressures doing so.

thank you, I thought it was good stuff.

All very nice patterns actually. Seems like you didn’t have any blown out patterns even with the tightest of choke which is surprising. Great video 🇺🇸

We try to make our loads forgiving in a variety of choke tubes. 👍

How bad is the felt recoil?

It’s stout, but not 12 gauge stout. About like a heavy pheasant load. Also, most 20 ga guns are lighter than the 12 gauge versions, so there’s that factor too.

The 1-5/8 oz payload feels a little more stout than a 3" duck load. Not terrible.
