Mary and Elizabeth were great queens Elizabeth they both seemed to always lived in fear. Mary won her battle she had a son United England and Scotland as one nation and still have her descendants ruling like Queen Elizabeth lol her family lines still remain . Love live the Queen.!!!!

Mary queen of scots was irrational. Yes. But she was also a woman who acted on impulse. She was an excellent queen but a woman who was never taught to make good choices for her rule. She never got to see her mother rule as consort ( a woman who ruled excellently btw) and so with that she became an orphan queen whos son eventually also became an orphan king and whos grandson was killed much like her. Her story is tragic and painful. She is a true queen. Long Live Mary queen of Scots.

Mary wasn't an excellent queen. She was kicked out of Scotland for her very poor decisions and choices. Get real! Btw, I'm descended from a Stuart and have NO sympathy for the real Mary. She was a fool.

The poor Stuart’s Mary, was Beheaded... her grandson King Charles l was Beheaded and her son was a horrible king who though his mother was a monster. Being a Royal much less a Women Was more of a curse then anything.

Mary had such a rough life after she left France! Thats why I loved the afterlife scene with Francis so much. She so needed peace and his enduring love for her.

Mary, Queen of scots. Mistakes -didn't remove john knox first Upon arriving to scotland -marry the wrong person

She couldn’t arrest Knox because he had massive influence within Scotland. It would have been looked at like she was trying to smash the Protestant faith. What she should have done was find proof of his dealings that way there was no question about him being guilty.

She couldn't remove John Knox that easy. He was leader of Protestants and had massive influence and if she killed him it would've seen like she was crushing Protestant lords. And about Darnley, yes he was ambitious but it was strategic marriage because Darnley had claim to English throne too. So James had claim from both of them. She just used him as the weapon against Elizabeth so her son could've rule both England (with Ireland) and Scotland.

Fantastic! I wish they would bring back a fifth season in which the entire story of Bothwell and Mary are told. The real historical account is truly romantic. Think how it could have been played out by Adelaide and Adam Croasdell!

Biencutza _14 it's a series called Reign. It's got four seasons and tells the story of mary queen of scots or may Stuart. It isn't historically accurate but it's fun to watch

Biencutza _14 starts off with mary returning from the convent to Wed Francis the crown prince of France because of an alliance treaty they made when they were babies for France to protect Scotland from England. But she isn't sure if they'll work out and there's a bit of a love triangle going on too. The Queen doesn't like her because of a prophecy her advisor told her about. Can't tell you more or it'll ruin the fun lol

I love Mary and Catherine's love and hate relationship and I love how despite their many arguments and Catherine’s sins they ended up being best friends and allies Ps. I hate the disrespect Mary has received from the Scottish people and Dudley she is a Queen and should be spoken to as such (Dudley should have referred to her as your majesty) also why did she not bring her guards with her when she went anywhere and the guards should answer to her and not Lord Darnley and John Knox

@@imanidouglas985 In general terms. It's pretty certain Mary married Darnley because she was in "lust", if not love, and he did have some claim to the English throne. Plus, she knew it could upset Elizabeth, but personally, I think Elizabeth set her up. She knew what a wastrel Darnley was and how attractive Mary might find him. And she made Mary upset by offering Robert Dudley to her as a husband, never really expecting Mary to accept.

Mary was a good Queen until 1565 when she married Henry Stuart, the beginning of her downfall imagine being Queen of a country with about 700,000 people, while pregnant and having an abusive husband and a Catholic in a Protestant country her personal life was her downfall her choices as Queen were pretty good until 1565 when she got rid of the Protestants on her privy council and married Henry Stuart.

But Mary is the one who actually left her mark, MARY’S son ruled Scotland, not Elizabeth’s. Her descendants stayed, not Elizabeth’s. Mary was a great queen and the reason why she’s seen as a bad person is because men wrote history and because Elizabeth gave in to the pressure of men. She might have not had great education, but she was still a good queen and had a tragic life and death.
