Price is on another planet, the level of play from him can rival that of Mvg and Taylor, Van Peer surely enjoyed himself and got the crowd going, something that sadly couldn’t happen when he was at the grand slam in 2017. And what better way to win a match than to win it with a 9 darter!!!

Well that was a typically brilliant night of darts, as always whenever its the final group games theres always a lot going on and that makes it very exciting. We had everything tonight, a lot of 5-1 scorelines, some great performances in there particularly from Price and Humphries, who both look absolutely phenomenal so far and its a shame they potentially meet in the quarters coz that matchup could easily be a final. Price v Anderson and Humphries v Searle in best of 19 legs looks absolutely tasty as round of 16 ties. A huge shock to see the defending champ Smith go out even though he won his first 2 games which rarely happens but James Wade does what James Wade always does. Then of course the moment of the night and the moment of the tournament so far: Heavy Metal hitting that sublime 9 darter to win the match and take him through to the knockout phase for the first time ever. I couldnt stop jumping up and down when he nailed the D12. Onto tomorrows action now and it should be very exciting as the 2 ladies r involved in straight shootout games.

What a night. Thank you, Ryan Searle. I didn't think Smith would defend his title but I didn't expect him to go out at the group stage. This Grand Slam has served some real surprises already and I love it. That's why we love the darts.

I know this is gonna sound like the most outrageous fake story you’ve ever heard because it doesn’t seem possible to me either it’s blowing my mind too🤣 I randomly got recommended a “mlb grand slam” video for no reason i don’t even remotely watch or follow baseball but the video auto played and the crowd reaction got me hyped so I searched “all grand slam’s 2023” and this video popped up.. I have never seen or heard of this game in my life but it looked interesting so I clicked it and watched the entire thing with 0 clue what’s happening at all then I realized it’s a current tournament and now I’m fully invested and have no clue how it’s played or who’s winning reading comment after comment to break the whole video down🤣I swear I’m sorry for the comment book but this entire chain of events just blew my mind! I don’t even understand how it all lined up lmao..

W've started from monster play by price then we go to funny match by van peer and rock then 3 next monster matches ended with 9 darter then just culture won by ratajski who look a little bit nervous but he did it then big sensantion by kicking out smith by wade and in the end nervous match for advantage winning by Dobey. Clayton is easily a Top 10 player but he had one good year since (and before) which he has been a quarter or semi-finalist, for sure not bad, but he's not a perennial champion. I know he's a nice guy, before somebody takes offence, I think if there were a World Gent Championship he would win that, but not darts majors, any more.
