Don't kid yourself, we're in a good place with an established line-up and kids coming through but most of our best players are still at the end of their careers, many have spent years under one regime and it will be guaranteed at LEAST one or two of them won't like this new regime under Slot. We're going to have a rocky first couple of seasons adjusting to a new regime but as long as we get behind the new manager and FSG back him we have a good enough platform for him to build upon with time and patience.

Wouldn't say it's a fine time, lot of work for slot or should I say Edwards and hughs to do next few years to replace our aging best players, top 4 and a good champions league run is all I'd expect in the coming season

@@chrisdix2089 Except FSG did back Jurgen, you don't win league titles and European Cups without adequate backing. They will back Slot too. This notion that FSG didn't back Klopp is misleading and incorrect, they just didn't back him as much as some of the fans wanted them to, who see Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea spending £200m+ per window and wonder loudly how Liverpool are going to compete with that if FSG don't do the same. But FSG run a financially sound system and don't blow everything in one window, they spend gradually to minimise risk and don't fall foul of any spending breeches.

The players will be top fit and after a few months all the Liverpool fans will know they have a special trainer/manager that will give them a lot of good games and players. As a Feyenoord fan I am sad that he isn’t at my club anymore but I will follow every game of Liverpool just because I want to see what will happen.That’s how special Arne ,in my humble opinion, is.

He’ll be gone within the first season I guarantee it. Klopp was a hugely successful manager (in the eyes of Liverpool fans) and the chances of finding an equal or better replacement at the first attempt are incredibly slim. For lightening to strike twice in such quick succession would say more about the directors of football than Arne Slot.
