TEDx Talks

10 жыл бұрын

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Think of your body as a process - as a verb, not a noun. Learn how to move in the direction of good health, resurrect your soul, influence markers of aging at the cellular level and change your perception of your physical body.
Deepak Chopra, MD serves as the Founder and Chairman of The Chopra Foundation.
As a global leader and pioneer in the field of mind-body medicine, Chopra transforms the way the world views physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social wellness. Known as a prolific author of more than seventy-five books with twenty-two New York Times best sellers in both fiction and non-fiction, his works have been published in more than thirty-five languages.
Chopra's medical training is in internal medicine and endocrinology and he is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He serves as Co-Founder and Chairman of The Chopra Center for Wellbeing, Founder of The Chopra Well on KZfaq, Adjunct Professor of Executive Programs at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Adjunct Professor at Columbia Business School, Columbia University, Senior Scientist with The Gallup Organization, Doctor Honoris Causa, The Giordano Brunio University, Doctor of Science, Hartwick College, and Faculty, Disney Imagineering. Time magazine has described Dr. Chopra as one of the top 100 heroes and icons of the century and credits him as "the poet-prophet of alternative medicine."
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

I celebrate this knowledge so much!!! My husband received a kidney transplant 17 years ago, and this information is what makes me understand that the kidney he has is no longer a strange organ for his body!!! I really celebrate this!!!! When somebody receives someone's organ, he/she has to take pills to weaken the immune system, so the body won't reject the organ. But now that we understand that the body is a verb, a process, that all the cells that make up the organ are totally new, that the organ he received is not the same he has now, this understanding is so valuable because it means he does not have to take those pills anymore! His kidney is totally his! Is not a strange organ! I REALLY CELEBRATE THIS UNDERSTANDING!👏👍😊👌💫✨️

I am a professional medium and I love how Deepak says, "You have to change your perception of your body." Often times during a reading with a client, the information that comes in from their departed loved one will focus on shared memories, objects exchanged, or they will offer advice. They may discuss their health conditions prior to their passing, but most often, their bodily appearance matters very little. Spirit is more concerned with coming through with their essence, and often, spending most of the time talking about HOW they lived, and not how they passed. I hope that helps anyone out there doing their soul work. I am grateful for this video.

Dr. D spoke at my college (Maharishi Int'l U) graduation, reminding us that the human body we live in is completely new cells every 7.5 years (1/4 of the 30 year transit of planet Saturn) that whoever we are, whatever we are, we can (and will) always change, can choose to change for the better.... it's stuck with me and helped my life. I am grateful for his help, hope to run into him and thank him sometime..

When I feel like i realized/learned comprehend everything I know its my time to listen to Deepak C :) Then wouww! Another new idea, connection happens in my brain. He is a true well. People who accuse him pseudosciencist must step back and ask themselves what science actually is, or must be. I am myself a scientist, spent 7 years in labs experimenting, re-searching. Searching and researching the truth. Never understanding or questioning the definition of truth! Truth is what I can measure, great! How about the "measurer?" ....... This is where paradigm changes and being a scientist doesnt necessarily mean you are not narrow-minded or dogmatic. Well the idea of non-dual ( combination of seer- the mode of seeing - and the object to be seen) is maybe not for every mind to comprehend right now. March 2023. Lets see what happens in the forthcoming years. THANKS HEAPS DEEPAK FOR LIGHT you carry🙏

I believe that a few people will understand the talk, and think its mystical or get critical because he's best seller. So, what he talks about, its not how to hck the age process. But, reiventing what you feel, the deep and meaning that life carries to most top personalities, just imagine if you meditate for a long time, and do these other concepts, master them how they should be, what kind of life will you have? I leave you with this thought.

Its the negative people and the negative rude comments that will make those people sick and unhappy in time. He is not talking about delusions, mumbo jumbo or some weird mystical science theories. Its a fact of who humans and all beings are. I am an exact example of my diet and lifestyle making me very sick and negative. I changed my diet, my ideas, reduced stress, lifestyle and activities and I cured my auto immune disease, PERIOD! Oh and that included using meditation. I happen to know MANY others who have done the same. And Deepok was pivotal in the changes I made in my life because the real issue is lack of knowledge and also western medicine and its lack of knowledge of the diet, environment and lifestyles of the American people and give you a pill to treat symptom, not the disease and fail to diagnose or educate you on how to change your life and heal. The Oath says, First Do NO Harm and I was greatly harmed. You CAN heal illness and live a happy long peaceful life. Deepok is a brilliant man in touch with more then the average human being. He is educated and has accomplished so much, including the author of over 70 books and YES he has been invited to TED MED and others so that is an incorrect comment. Whoever found it necessary to call names, use profanity and insult has most certainly accomplished NOTHING, including being a decent person.

+nfcoard Thank you for the nice compliment, I was sick for a long time. I had first read a book by Deepak on healing at the cellular level and I was hooked. If your mind can make you sick it can heal you too. Sounds silly but it isnt. I use deep breathing, let my mind think and wander, as it is too hard for me to try and stop it. Eventually the mind will focus. Everyone gets there in their own way. I was stunned at the difference in my life and attitude. I will never go back to being sick. Good Luck to you.

Evolution and progress was slow and took millions of years for the human species. However, that is currently followed by the dawning of the age of consciousness in our species. This phase is going much faster aided greatly by high technology and speedier communications and connectivity that we already shared and we were not much aware of. The spiritual leaders like Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, Joe Dispenza, Wayne Dyer, etc. help us greatly to understand nature and spirit and what is reality which is greatly unseen to us and not in the realm of our everyday day existence. Deepak is a great teacher as he is comprehensively in all aspects of knowledge in spiritual, physical, mental, emotional needs that we as humans need to know for a healthy, happy, and fulfilled life.

I guess what Deepak Chopra is saying is use common sense, I went through a deep dark depression, lost everything and found out about meditation, along the way I had forgotten these facts about living without stress, healthy diet and all the rest of it. I was a very angry person and negative. I applaud him for promoting a healthy lifestyle but I think the thing that bugs everyone about him is he can "come across" as a saint who does no wrong! Nothing wrong with that, you can't be an angry negative person promoting all this stuff that way. I am sure he loses his shit sometimes, we are all human!

Chopra says that you can have a young body without age... even that he reinvents his body, but he ages the same as everyone else and will die at a normal age ... Apparently they are only selling titles and nothing else. So, the day he was 90 or 100 years old and looks young and lucid, I'll believe it ... for now it's just a good best seller.

why ? it bothers you ? just because you can not grasp an idea or thought doesnt mean its rubbish or bullshit it just means your not in the similar state of mind to that of the speaker ....

shiva Joshi There is good reason why it bothers me. And I have been familiar with and grasped DC's empty bullshit for about 8 years. He leads people astray in a harmful way. His written words all sound so knowledgeable and 'deep & meaningful'. But when you actually analyse what he is saying and when you actually try to put it to use in your life, you find it's meaningless and unuseable. It's basically just a lot of pseudo-science-psuedo.psychology mumbo-jumbo. The concepts are impossible, he makes claims to knowing that no human can know, he confuses people by sprinkling in a few truths with a lot of untruths and sciency sounding language. Unfortunately the public lap it up, part with their money, buy his books and other media and are then disappointed at their own perceived lack of progress. It wastes their time, their money and has them feeling worse and like failures. So they go back and buy more! They keep trying to attain this state of mind and living that is unattainable in fact because it isn't real. He is not the peaceful man he claims either, I've seen him several times in a rage against having been busted for his bullshit. He is no more a relaxed person than the average Joe.

Pseudo science and Mumbo jumbo were used by people with science credentials in a debate with deepak who couldn't disprove what he said ... You can not prove deepak but you can not disprove him either ... He maybe doing it for money but some of the things he mentions like meditation and enforcing peace in life of self and others and idea about all being one and united ... Are no way hurting anyone .. Things are not meant to be easy and not meant to work whenever you want them to work ... If everything you try was supposed to be as easy as riding a bike .. Human race probably would have evolved into something great .. Not being on the verge to another world war ... Fact is people are impatient and quite damn right pessimistic especially towards people who try to share an idea often good .... Sometimes it goes to me too .. Just human nature I guess

shiva Joshi I'm perfectly familiar with the debates you are referring to. The atheists were speaking about science in the correct way, it's DC that tries to sound convincing by mixing lashings of pseudo science, with a tiny trickle of proper science with more lashings of spirituality. He knows he can confuse fans of spirituality with pseudo and some real science because such people who will believe in spirituality clearly already have no interest in real science and so are very gullible and easily impressed and easily lead and easily parted from their money. He is a criminal fraud, a dirty low-down snakeoil salesman, a thief and a scoundral. He knows he's wrong, he loves the rich lifestyle he enjoys at the expense of desperate ly sad people trying to find the happiness that is eluding them. There's no one lower than Deepak Chopra.

Dr. Chopra.... What is common between me and you.. I rejected Maharishi. Mahesh. Yogi as a cult (1976) and you you did... Future health care system needs to move from biology to chemistry..... When chemistry becomes too complicated... Go back to basic chemistry such as oxygen transport... Let me share work from Buteyko and his team.. Great work on slow natural breathing............ Normal breathing. Com We all need to explore our inner cosmology.. Best of luck
