I appreciate you doing your best to explain every decision to make this build as approachable as possible for newer players. It's common sense but I was surprised that you didn't mention that you absolutely have to keep materials to open the bunker available. If the bunker is metal I always keep a stack of frags and wood in a box outside the TC so that if for whatever reason I'm not around it doesn't accidently get used up for upkeep.

Since most bases (except large zerg bases) seem to keep their TC in the triangle, I feel that this mechanic for the TC is great for all of those builds, too. Incorporating the pixel gap will often be overlooked by most raiders. If you have windows placed around your base and the raiders cannot find the TC, this will make protecting your loot spaces easier with just a metal window to toss in the slot rather than a door + lock, during an online raid.

I've been using this base mixed with the tc placement in the keeper base for almost a wipe now, and as usual, I've been raided three times now. The only difference, I've never had to move location. The raiders have never gotten my TC and I've been able to rebuild my layers and resources every time because of it. Absolutely chadded base design.

this is a really cool idea never know you could build over these just made a design with a pixel gap tc that you can also open a shotgun door through and also made the drop down use the offset bunker so you can fully close up when you get in trouble like you did but you have no time limit just put a roof outside when things have calmed down

For future videos can you start by showing a quick sealed started then expand the base. I dont know many people who are able to build bunker and full honeycomb without a door

I feel like major oversight here is that the tc will get splashed and instantly found if anyone decides to go straight through the bunker, given the sheet doors on the base its probably a cheaper option than coming in from the side

Had my first base get raided after about a week. Was just a 2x2 with an airlock, but goddamn what an awful feeling. They just kept killing me and when I went back it was just a shell with the door locks all changed. Guess I learned to honeycomb

This is amazing, but wouldn't the raider who decides to blow open the bunker blow straight to tc on accident with splash damage? And the wall being hard-sided in makes it a point of interest - would it work with being on the opposite side of the base? You can also keep that loot triangle floor wood there while offline, soft side it when you're back on

their is actually a build mechanic that lets you place a door in the same socket as the roof bunker it uses the offset bunker setup with a twist

4 boxes with a campfire in the middle is the exact same storage capacity as the 3x3 method with the added benefit of being able to use it as a campfire ive gotten really good at placing it so that's what i prefer

I'm having trouble placing the second roof piece for the bunker. I don't have any honeycomb on the roof at all yet. I have a twig frame underneath and I still can't place the second roof piece to open the bunker. It just wont snap/turn blue. Any ideas to help me out?

I personaly prefer to build my base into a cliff that is angeled. It gives your tc natural protection from 2 sides against rocket raids. Also you can build it by 2 big squares, with fake honeycomb araund (doors to let you get to tc) and then extra araund. One of honeycombs is a exist out (that you jump on furance to get out), then its build on top and another layer of fake door honeycomb where you keep less usefull things. Of cose the fake honeycomb is build on halfwalls, while outside is normal walls to prevent a raider to just roof rocket raid it. 2 layers of top honeycomb should stop most raiders (needs to me metal minimum). Also, unlike usualy basses on youtube, your main protection are doors and window doors (ones you can remove with hammer) to increase the raid cost. The build i did would take 2141 explosive ammo just via doors or 53550 sulfur. As for roof raid 76 rockets from top down directly to tc or 106400 sulfur. (i didnt add 3 halfwalls inside roof honeycombs into mix due to directy knowing where tc is) But its --- foundation -- tc room -- high quality metal top, roof honeycomb high quality -- lootroom -- another high quality metal with roof honeycomb --- farming or shootin floor -- )double roof protection again. If you turn it into shooting floor, players can spear the walls to get inside via window reducting the raid cost. I realy dont get it why people dont use fake honeycomb a bit more.

You should make more floorstacked bases

Problems with the bunker aside, when you honey-comb the roof, you can also add Ramps in the inside of the half wall squares and upgrade them to the highest you’re comfortable with. Raiders will be incredibly frustrated and it also gives you extra health in places you weren’t going to use anyways.

Great build! Did I miss it, or did you forget to go over accessing the TC? Also, I've had issues with boxes and other deployables breaking next to walls with bunkers - will either of those left-most ones break?

I love this design, but i want to mention: If you place the triangle in the main lootroom on the left side of the room (you said you can either place it right, left or on front) the stability is too high, so you cant open the bunker anymore ;) thank god i figured that out just in time so i was able to demolish the roof haha good work

Wont the shotgun trap lock you out of the base as well if they destroy your sleeping bags?

i like the idea but feel the tc placement should be relocated and heres why, if the raider chooses to go through honeycomb on the tide of the bunker they will blow straight into tc surely ? i could be totally wrong but from how i see it that is a high possibility no ?

I’ve tried this base a few times and it’s worked almost every time but in the most recent one the bunker wouldn’t open (I’m on console)

What if ypu the half walls are same length when creating the pixel gap

PROTIP: better way to place boxed on square floors and much faster is to line up the square floor you first place by aiming directly north on the compass, then when it comes to placing boxes all you have to do to line up is aim north. If you're checking that stacking I strongly recommend you check the OG Budsatawny.

I have a quick question and that is, if there is a way to acces the (code)lock on the TC through the gap. I built the base and now 2 friends want to join but since there is a codelock on the TC they cant open it because they cant even type in the Code through the wall. Do we really need to blow up a wall so they can Authenticate on the TC? If so, which one is the best to break?

What the music, it is so good

When they blow the roof bunker, it will blow the walls covering the TC if they are the same build level, so I’m not sure how putting your TC is good.

If they get inside, closing the bunker but they destroy your bed.. how would you get in?

You need to make your base something that others will want to counter. Having to worry about counters is something I plan on when putting down the location of my base. The more chances that the raider has to plot about how to handle counter raiders, the less likely they'll execute a full on base raid. This is why I tend to find a partnership with no less than 3 clans being a farmer, as they're going to be highly invested in to counter raiding there sulfur and grubbing farmer.

something im a bit curious about, I tried the build, and did everything the way you did it, but noticed that you can't loot the tc if its metal or hqm, that means a corner of the stone wall is exposed when raiding from doors and in, meaning if you take out the 2 front doors, and the stone wall, you have tc right away? making it a total 18 rockets for all loot inside, did I do something wrong?

i think you need a starter base or have it to where you can progress through the wipe and also its very easy to tell where tc is with a hammer too 4/10
