I like how you give a really encouraging lesson for playing and for life in general, and at the same time the axe and the camera angle kinda make you look like a bond villain

When I clicked on this video I thought you were going to be making a tuba mouthpiece out of wood. Thus, splitting the wood and playing tuba with a mouthpiece made from the wood you split.😂

What a great video. I’m relearning tuba after about 40 years! It’s a struggle to let myself be relaxed during practice, because I know I used to be able to hit this or that note., and it’s not always accurate now. Thank you for this calming inspiration!

Hi, so I have a couple questions. First I’ll introduce myself, my names Harrison and I’m a sophomore in high school. I look up to you so much and am astonished by your range and it’s clarity. Do you have any tips for me to have better practicing or staying motivated through frustrating moments in my career?
@tubaad

Hello Harrison, It is not easy to stay motivated, so I've created a free video course that you can join if you like. You'll be playing duets together with me and I'll explain basics along the way. academy.baadsvik.com/courses/have-fun-playing-duets-with-oystein

Øystein, How open are you to collaboration? can I make a video with you? You will play solo. I am an orchestral accompaniment (strings, winds). For example, Bach's "Badinerie".
