my home! my best memories are from here, watching whales play, winter waves, summer fun, makua cave, camping with friends, rain showers, & sunsets! Waianae is always negated by bad comments and bad people, but even so, our beaches carry a special mana that calms the soul. i miss my home & all the keiki coming to visit and the sounds of laughter flling my home, mahalo nui loa for this video...wish it were longer. malama pono, a hui ho! And always remember, Ua Mau ke Ea o ka ʻĀina i ka Pono!

I used to go to this beach when I was a kid living on Oahu. This brings back the beautiful memories that I will forever miss. During the winter months the waves used to be 10-15 feet tall shorebreaks. There is nothing more exilerating and horrifying at the same time to have a wall of water 30 feet high coming at you 1.5 hrs after you land in Hawaii for the first time. We always went there on the weekends.

Thanks for this video, you captured that beach. been there, love it, and feel the power of it. if you get in the water here, you're just one small fish in a GREAT BIG OCEAN and that feeling is good, and humbling. Keeps things in perspective.

@JTMHollywood - more like 2mph. I was trying to drive 5 miles to get a sunset shot... and bike riders were passing us. We finally turned around and found another beach north. At least they were widening the road.

@DjVinnie91 - Funny you should ask... It's the next beach coming Monday. It's army beach on the north west of Oahu. I got a cool sunset. Note - Lost added a fake island off the beach.

Oh, that sucks that you were sick for 3 days. I did like driving in kauai, we drove 131 miles that day. I should put some of our vacation on youtube. And yeah I know what you mean, the traffic is like 25 mph all over the island.

lol, thank you my friend but, I was there at the end of Sept to Oct 4, for 11 days with my wife. We kind of had a bad time. We saw all the islands and loved the beaches. But that's about it. She was sick the whole time. We were on the NCL Pride of America and it rocked way too much the whole time. Sad really...she was looking forward to Hawaii for years. And now she wont even look at pictures of Hawaii. Makes her feel sick. It took her over a month to look at our reef tank.

@JTMHollywood - LOL - well, I got Florida and California DVDs too. No disneyland or disneyworld though. FYI - I got sick on Maui for 3 days... and had to shoot all of it in 1 day - so I feel for your wife.. I don't have warm fuzzys when I think of Maui. Plus the traffic made LA look like Nascar.

@ABitwize If you did that in the mid Nov-Dec. You had balls the size of beachballs because there would be no way in hell that any sane person would attempt that during the winter season when waves would reach 15ft. I used to go to that beach in the day time and to try that at night would be suicide. Apparantly you made it out alive to write this but you may not know how lucky you are on so many levels.
