It's just a thing to do for the natural hair enthusiasts. The anti comments wouldn't be here if this was a big chop or a hair coloring vid instead. They just hate relaxers due to bad experiences and ignore how they help with managing hair more easily. Not everyone has the time to detangle and braid for hours.

Not all relaxer formulations are the same. This particular one is safe to do so because it's much milder than the regular strength ones that are meant to straighten the hair an not simply loosen the curl pattern.

that's kinda how my hair looked like when relaxed, i didn't like it bcz it wasn't straight and silky (like the hair of the girl on the relaxer box) and i had no idea how my real hair texture was (i was still a kid lol), so that was really frustrating. so i'm really glad i went natural (btw if you are happy with your hair relaxed that's fine for me)

I understand why she would put in a relaxer I get it. I have been natural for 6 years now and i have kinky course thick hair but just like natural hair you have to care for it. Relaxers aren't permanent either you have to keep reapplying it. As long as your happy that's all that matters. I had my hair straighten and it was like that for 3 weeks plus it rained a lot that time

i used to use this product on my hair, am a guy,,it made my afro kinky and soft,loved it,,could do any style with my hair..curly..kinky..etc...but chopped my hair,going natural but tempted to use it again, finally someone made a vid on this product..but i dont use a comb when applying this,might end up with a different typa hair pattern, but ey, we all got our ways

How do apply it and how long do you keep the relaxer in your hair?
@hassangooner233
@hassangooner233 4 жыл бұрын
@@manyara9528 follow the instructions , i learnt from alot of mistakes applying this,,for starters make sure you shampoo your hair like 2days before applying it or even moredays before,it doesnt like shampoo, when applying it make sure your hair is combed out fully detangled,apply it with your hands i didnt use a comb cause might end up looking like a wet chicken after the process so i d just smoothly apply it even to my roots even tho not recommended but wanted my hair to look like its natually smooth,i leaved it for about 12-15mins then wash it out with warm water, then neutralizer like twice then a good conditioner after, i already have natural curls but ey dry so it made my hair super curly soft and long

@@manyara9528 😂😂 if you over process it it might do that 😂 but it never did that to me..once left it for like 25mins i had forgotten but it did nothing..its not harsh but make sure you keep your hair moisturizied and stuff. .i stopped using it cause i wanted the natural texture back ..remember dont comb it much when applying. .anyway guess it depends on your hair type and what exactly you want..if you comb it i think you d get loose curls..but ey am not an expect ..like i said i learnt the hard way from my mistakes with this product😅

@@ellaoshinkanlu8590 you're welcome hon. I get the hesitation to use strong chemicals but most of the negative replies seem to come from those who were overprocessing their hair. This is the safest way to relax because you're underprocessing the hair, leaving strength and elasticity.

Id have to check this particular brand to see if it's lye or no lye, but if it's lye then the ingredients aren't much different from bar soap, just different concentrations. The difference between lye Relaxer and soap is petroleum and mineral oil are used instead of tallow or vegetable oils and the concentration of lye is slightly higher. Since it's only left on for about 16 minutes, the baby shouls be fine. Plently of pregnant women have had chemical services done to their hair with no negative effects to their babies.
