This is simple, but absolutely beautiful music. I love it! I live in the Los Angeles area and have lots of friends who come from Iran. Wonderful people, amazing hospitality, and fantastic food!

I’m so pleased to have discovered this artist. This is utterly captivating. I hear so many amazing colours and tones in the setar, along with Indian roots, and how it evolved into flamenco as it spread through the Mediterranean. There are even tones of banjo and bluegrass, to my ears anyhow.

Indian roots ? Actually vise versa .. Persian Setar been around way before indian Sitar and obviously very different. Although I understand and appreciate the connections and history between the two people but this instrument goes way back possibly from Tanbur which has been around (recorded history about 3500 years ago) I believe the Indian sitar been around for about 700 years ..

Persia word is comming from a an anciant People who cald themselve PARSiAN. Music in ìran stardet with history of citisenship by BARBAT & NAKISA long time befor anciant CHINA. IN THAT TIME THERE WAS NO COUNTRY CALD INDIA. Persian music is så expansion in 7 dastgah (subtaitels) and expanded every dastgah in many under sub. By the way the most af world music defines in persian music!

When I listen to this music, I hear the ancient voices. I am sure setar absorbs the voice of his heart and translates to me. Outstanding!

Daf and Divan Or Tanbur Are Kurdish and i'm happy to have them in our culture But setar and Tar Are not Kurdish my friend they are pure Iranian classical instrument Tar is the Mother For music Just like Piano
