Yes I did this all in one take other than one part where I needed to activate noclip to get through the door I forgot to open before killing Goddrick.
Hope you enjoy, or have a nice sleep.

Yeah I did the same estimation. It’s not that large compared to any real world location but it feels real and massive somehow. I reached Leyndell after more than a hundred hours and a month of real life playtime and it felt like such a long pilgrimage. To me Elden Ring is the game that has made me feel like I’m on an epic adventure more than any other.

At least three days have passed in-game during this walkthrough, and, although they last around 1 hour in real time, it’s impossible to guess how long the cycle is in-universe. Even if we assume they’re shortened and abstracted versions of our usual day-night cycles for gameplay reasons, we could make an estimate of around 220 miles

@@miscielrossvillegas6307 I'd rather have rereleases or just higher res support remasters. Not to say that I dislike the current art direction of FromSoft but from what I've seen of them, the King's Field series in part has such strong atmosphere due to the murky nature of early Playstation graphical restrictions. Ideally, we'd have both. I can only hope I get to experience them without emulation on my current platform.

It's beautiful and really relaxes my soul. Can't wait to watch it all. It's both sleep inducing and a place to think. I had this feeling sometimes when playing games, esp. those with scenic landscapes or cool map design, you take your character and just walk. Walk and walk, and look around, sometimes even not moving your camera, just move through the world. It's so calming. I've even thought about recording sth like this. I'm glad people out there feel that too. Thank you for your work ❤ Edit: i'm watching and it's so cool that you don't just walk forward, but look at surroundings, as you would in real life. It really adds a lot and feels like an actual walk

@@LudgerBeats thank you for asking! Its nothing out of the ordinary. My PC is very old, my laptop has no memory already and I work on it a lot, so further running it down would be bad. I don't have PS. Even if I had them working, I rarely play games at all, or play something "serious" at that matter (I enjoy Genshin on my phone), because to me it's a bit anxiety-inducing and at those rare moments I have time to relax I prefer other activities or media. When it comes to action games like this, it's easier to watch, e.g. walkthroughs or related content, at least for now. I'll make sure to play it one day though.

@@phnsinrspt absolutely see your point in this kind of game being easier to watch than to play! That’s actually something I was experiencing for the first 20 hours of my gameplay or so. But after a certain point something just clicked and I wasn’t anxious about anything in the game anymore. After that point, all I felt for this game, and that goes for even the scarier encounters, was pure admiration. This game literally reshaped my approach to gaming and has likely changed me as a person quite a bit. Genuinely the best game of the decade.

I had this idea of making Elden Line mod, with linear progression through the map, starting in misbegotten arena in castle, moving chapel of anticipation to wrap around the castle and move population of round table hold to castle morne, changing lore so castle morne port is the only legal point of entry into lands between and since the castle is under siege and godrick magically blocked the bridge you all tarnished are trapped until misbegotten rebellion is crushed, player kills his way out of the weeping peninsula, can't enter liurnia or caelid until he kills godrick, but first has audience with him like in DS1 with gwyndoline through the wall, then south western liurnia, eastern liurnia, rya lucaria, carian manor, mt gelmir, volcano manor, altus, only path through dominula into the outer walls, then to lower caelid, then frenzied village in liurnia, to get to upper caelid kill radahn, then garank teleports you to the Leyndel, when you move roundtable to the fortified manor, you have to kill both morgot and mohg to go to snowfields, so you have to go in reverse order through cavern areas, grand lift stops at the route to snowfields and you have to horse climb frozen waterfall to enter mountaintop, you go through them in different more liners order, after killing fire giant Halig tree is on fire and not erd tree so you have to kill malenia and summon farum azula over Halig to move the fire to erd tree, then you kill Malekith, nerd, elden lords and Elden beast, final boss on a horse. I also wanted to make it so you can choose between Melina, Ranni or Frenzied Hag (previous incarnation of Hayetta) still on the weeping peninsula, if you choose Ranni she makes you sacrifice puppeted Nepheli but spirit summons are locked behind choosing her, with Melina assisting you from the start, Frenzy is a lone wolf run. AI voices could be used to make Melina comment everything during free roaming and Ranni Doll giving unenthusiastic hints on what to do.

I am in love with this game. I think one of my favorite things that still gets me on every playthrough is that the areas are laid out so that every new zone you arrive in is a total spectacle, everything is framed so purposefully, and it hits just as hard literally every single time. Its incredible. One of the best collective pieces of art humans have come up with IMO. Like look at that sequence to Leyndell. You're outside the city and you see these incredibly massive structures with the ruins of a gigantic battle. Walk across the bridge into the chapel. You walk out to see the erdtree finally not just standing in the skyline but directly over you, and you get a scale of the city, but you see the massive pit has taken away a bunch of the terrain. You walk into another building that finally allows you onto the edge of the city and boom: They hit you with Leyndell, Royal Capital as you look at this gigantic city with the corpse of a massive dragon and knowing you're going to be able to explore every inch of that location. Fantastic.

So If we do a bit of Math: The entire path from Castle Morne to The Forge took aprox. 3.13 hours on foot, just walking. If we take into consideration the average walking speed of 5 km per hour, that means the entire path, from the southern most edge of the Lands Between to the northern most part, which roughly equals to the full length of the map, is around 15.65 kilometers (9.73 in stupid units). You could basically traverse the entire Lands Between in a single 1-2 hour bicycle trip :)

It's really funny how we perceive Elden Ring as this enormous game world when, in comparison to our actual world, it's practically microscopic. You can literally walk from one end of the world to the other in 3 hours, a feat which in our world would take probably several years assuming you could walk over the ocean. Imagine a game world that was actually as large as our planet. THAT would be insane.
