It's time to shop for seeds for spring and summer! This time I have Burpee and the Burgess seed/plant catalogs to flip through. Then at the end, I'll show you some of the seeds I already have and will also be growing some of those this year!

We grow strawberries in big containers (1m x 40cm x 50 cm), they're fine and don't die during winter. It's snowy here, though, so the containers are completely covered with snow. Also, a lot of people grow potatoes in bags. We tried it too - it works. And, by the way, we grow non-container-friendly pumpkins, zucchini and squash in barrels. Works great!

I remember seeing those burpee seed catalogs... my dad was in horticulture so we always had random plant-related publications lying around. He had quite the garden at home and was a sales rep for several different nursery stock companies.

No doubt where you’re at in the UK makes you a much better gardener than I have had luck with here in Phoenix, Arizona! I am in the hot desert, you can grow nice plants starting pretty much in January-February, because the coldest it really gets anymore is in the 50’s (degrees F). But once it’s around May, it gets too hot for most plants unless you plant it in shade! That’s my experience with growing over the years. I tried all sorts of vegetables by seed, and once you dig through the soil here you reach caliche, which is a very tough part of desert soil. It’s very harsh so you need good potting soil if you ever attempt growing plants here! Thanks if you read all this 😉💗

It's my "go to" for sleep, relaxation, or if I need to have a distraction from whatever is happening around me. I actually squealed when I saw this -- I was hoping you'd do another seed catalogue flip-through! While I don't garden myself, this content just brings comforting cottagecore vibes! The Burpee flip throughs are my fave (especially this one!). I have your burpee flip throughs in a Playlist and fall asleep to them EVERY night! Although I usually don't make it through this one cuz it gives me major tingles and I don't get tingles easily at all!

I grew the Honeycomb Hybrid tomatoes last year and they were absolutely delicious. I’ve also had success with strawberries in containers and I live in KY, so we do have full winters with snow, etc! You should definitely try berries. I plan on trying blueberries and raspberries this year. I also have blackberries that started in a container and I think would probably be okay staying in the containers too.
