Honestly, when I die and go to heaven I want this song to be playing as I go on all of my favorite rides at the county fair, nobody else there, just me content with life. The beautiful fair lights in the night dancing around me as I pass them. And when it’s all over the song ends and I am finally free.

I have mentioned it before and hereby reiterate it: this is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever composed and written. Debussy, a musical genious.

It’s a true masterpiece. If you listen to Nat King Cole’s “Merry Christmas to You” you can feel the similar tonal quality and mood of this song. It’s probably why it’s the one Christmas song that hits me in the heart more than the rest. It seems to have a dash of Schubert in it too.

the dm of our dnd campaign played this music when i was meeting with the "god" who chose me as a champion. in that, i learned that my character's grandfather and brother, their family, had been searching for 20 years to find me and finally had. and that they were charting a course to come for me. that, combined with the music, drove me to tears. i can't think of a better song choice for such an emotional moment, of the potential for a family to come back together fter being separated for so long

5 minutes into the video while trying to sleep, an ad pops up I need to skip. Then 12 minutes I wake up because another ad is playing I also need to skip. Seriously?
