Candy Roots it means that they need to finish the challenge as quickly as possible , so then when one runs against the hounds , how many metres the gate travelled , was how far the hounds got a closer head start while the contestants ran against the hounds.

How far from the hounds they have to start. The longer the challenge takes the closer the gate moves to the hounds and the father you have to run to the end
