How many concurrent streams in HomeKit does it support eg can you view live view on an iPad and iPhone at the same time like Aqara cams? And.. does the 30fps work in HKSV?

It does! Changes the camera settings for use everywhere, including the home app

Is the basic camera HSV compatible? It looks like there’s an answer from tp-link on the Best Buy page saying it isn’t compatible.

How good are these for outdoor use? What other options would you recommend for an outdoor camera?

They’re not weather-proof, but if they were in a covered area (like a patio) they can work that way! Otherwise the Eve Outdoor camera (which is a floodlight cam) is a great option. And Logitech Circle View has been decent, have two of those.

Confused - at 5:55 you said if you want 2K video recordings from the cameras, you will need the Tapo subscription. Based on other reviews I've seen, this is what the microSD card Is for, right? No subscription needed.

Can the camera work live while it's in the background and I'm doing something else on my phone? when activated via apple home kit. I currently have a xiaomi Mi 360 Home Security Camera 2K Pro through which I monitor my child while he sleeps. I don't like that I have to be in the app all the time to watch live, so I'm considering buying this Tapo camera. xiaomi is a great camera, but it annoys me that I can't get out of it and monitor the camera's pictures in picture mode. In that case, do you recommend Tapo c225 or maybe these c125? Tapo c225 can be moved in tapo app, but not possible if it is used via the Apple Home Kit

It can send notifications on motion on such, but you need to have the Home app open for a *live* continuous feed.

For me it only works in Home or in Tapo App. It can not be paired if it’s already connected to one of them. How did you do this?

I connected to Home first, and then the Taco app gets access by opening your Home Data to the app

I don’t have the g3, but the G2H is good. Also acts as an Aqara hub. But I find these are better quality video and a little more reliable.

No, HKSV can’t go above 1080p.

Unfortunately not, you need to use the Tapo app to see 2K. But the Tapo app is pretty good now!
