As a tradie myself, we all dread the days when it goes wrong especially when 99.9% of the time the same job the day before or the day after goes off without a hitch, whats great in this particular situation is you all worked together as a team, bounced it around amongst yourselves and pulled together to achieve the desired outcome. Tim from Canada suggestion for you people invest in motorized block and tackle…. you know the block and tackle you put on the trailer to pull stuff onto…. ///car winch….. this way you are not giving yourself a bad back or a hernia… you can buy the car winch, pretty cheap places and this will help you out in your jobs

It takes some patience to watch for almost two hours, but the system to replace the old sewer pipes is interesting to follow. It's not always easy. Haha, eating and drinking, that's how it went with me in the past.

Trying to leave no room for error is right Ollie. Got to do this work quickly and proficiently but problems arose. Glad you had a camera to show what is going on there Ollie. Noticed a lot of beeps to keep the swearing out of the video when problems did arise! The exothermic reaction of the glue can really burn you! One day job ended up taking two. Great job guys! Justin is a trooper! Hope the customer didn't get a heart attack when seeing the bill! LOL

I’ve done a quite a few of these re-lining job’s during my apprenticeship. It was called “New Flow” if I remember correctly. I remember it being a very precise race against time.

About 1/3 rd of my jobs went sideways. Those were nightmares. I had to fix all of them as nobody could come rescue me! I joked that the rescue team was stuck on a job across town.

Man, what a fustercluck! Short on resin, stuck going through the boundary trap, rope getting under the liner, liner and kelly getting stuck, resin all over the cameras, having to cut up the PVC, compressor not wanting to run, pulling the kelly with a truck, and on and on.... Great job guys!

Example of stuff not going always as planned, even when planned out well in advance. When it rains it pours is such a accurate idiom for life. I think pretty much everyone has been there when working a job, especially a larger one. A lot of channels wouldn't have even have made the video, I think it's great you guys still did and showed the recovery process. Also water and when people get hangry should never be underestimated! Keep that morale high.

That place has been nothing but a nightmare from day 1.

Several comments to make on this video, but I'll leave it at this: Justin is extremely patient and a very good guy. If you don't line, you have no idea how calm he was during extremely stressful situations. It's humbling, really, to see how he behaves vs. how I behave when something goes wrong. Convicting, really.

It must be rough when things go wrong but these kinds of videos are my favorite. It tickles that problem solving part of the brain and it’s always interesting to see the creative solutions tradesmen come up with to fix the problem. Any tradesmen can do a good job when everything goes right. It’s when the going gets tough and things don’t go according to plan where truly masterful tradesmen shine.

Ollie could you talk to buddy. For pulling large cables we use a electric capstan winch. Mounted on a strong tripod. Easy to control how hard you want to pull. It sure beats trying with arm strength. Even Aussie strength. That liner is tricky business.
