This still sends chills down my back as a Texas fan

I was a freshman at Tech when this game happened. That was an experience I will never forget and I still get chills everytime Crabtree catches that ball.

Boy that field rush was insane and fast! Geaux Red Raiders, my Big 12 team.

Best college football game I have ever seen in my life. If there were a college football playoff, this game wouldn't have counted for beans. This wasn't the national championship game, but this game had national championship implications. It kept Texas from playing in the national championship game.

If youre a Texas Tech fan, you remember the exact moment and place you were when this happened.. I was living in Dodge City, Kansas.. Our neighbors were Longhorn fans who gave me the stinkeye daily for being a Tech fan.. That night, I ran outside and started yelling "and the Victory Bells will ring".. If we never beat Texas ever again, this game would have been worth it for a lifetime! Cause they will never admit it, but this loss is the one that hurt them the most in history..

I'm still in awe every time I watch this! I'm a Georgia fan, but this is probably the greatest game I've ever seen in my lifetime and one of the greatest games I'll have ever seen!

I have watched this game well over 10 times and I still get nervous, anxious, excited, and goosebumps each time. Has to be in the top 5 greatest college football games of all time.

As a Longhorn, I hated the end of this game, but not so much anymore since it was 5 years ago, congrats to Tech, they were a great football team. See you in Austin next year guys, Hook 'em!

I'm an OU fan. Ou had a game against Nebraska that night. We won and went to watch the final minutes of this game in the concourse of the stadium. The whole place went crazy when Crabtree scored, and we were in another state! #Boomer

I was there and it was a unbelievable game..they found pieces of the goal post everywhere around town..what struck me was how many Longhorn fans were there, even on the home side.

what was so amazing about that game was that Tech basically dominated the game for the longest time and then it still ended up being that close at the end. Unreal how 2 plays back to back went Tech's way for the win!!! The easiest tip drill pop up gets dropped and then Crab scores the TD.....rewatching - Texas was lucky to be in position to be close at the end, and Tech was lucky to pull it out - game for the ages!! I'm sure it still haunts Gideon a little from time to time.

Crazy thing about it was the night before was Halloween... Man what a crazy few days, so happy I chose to go to Tech.

Yes, yes, an exciting game and a memorable win, to be certain. I just prefer to see the whole picture. We won a key battle here, but went on to lose the war. OU beat us to a pulp three weeks later. We didn't fare much better against Ole Miss in the Cotton Bowl. Sigh. Nosiree bob, it ain't easy being a fan of Texas Tech football.
