I'm recreating the pickup truck I owned when I was 21- waaay back in 1994! This was a 1984 Toyota Xtracab 4x4 with a custom built box, and I'm building my history- starting with scratchbuilding that box.

Me too! I just did the spring-under conversion to get the ride height more realistic. Now on the hunt for either an R4 scale trans setup, or I might even pony up for the SSD scale driveline. Kinda got forced- lowering it screwed me for clearance between the R3 tranny and front diff. The scale struggle is real!

I think it look great! By the way! Rc4wd came out with the new sr5 Toyota wheels! Those I think might fit the looks of your original truck! They come in 1.7s chrome and white. They came stock on my new tf2 4Runner just released by rc4wd.

Try to mount the leafs under the axles. That should bring you down a little bit

I am considering a spring-under. Right now, that's a problem because I did the motor-drop mod. I currently don't have the clearance between the diff and the motor to do that. I'm not sure whether I want to go to the trouble of reversing the mod, or just ultimately work towards the R4 conversion- which will also get the motor out of the way for that.
