what if instead of having a cyborg race you have to pick human race to then convert into a cyborg with parts that you find or either buy? that would be two birds killed with one stone

you can't lower the strength of every race. the point is that if all races are strong and have something exclusive, everyone will wonder what to choose which will be better for them

For fishman maybe when they go in the deeper layers something will happen like the water pressure can kill you over time but there can be a trainer that can help you to survive water pressure in the deeper layers or smth

I think it would be super cool if cyborgs worked similar to power armor from fallout 4 (WITHOUT DURABILITY) get yourself a whole bunch of robot parts, attach them to yourself and you get to customize and upgrade each individual one

me personally I think that this is what they should do for races Fishman: Base mastery - extra underwater oxygen (not infinite), 10% slower above water, 50% faster underwater, can walk and run on the ocean floor ~ Max mastery + Max haki = Blue haki (haki turns blue no matter what and 25% increase in effectivity and length) Bacterium (Germa): Base mastery - 10% increase to base stats, 10% decrease in xp and/or harder to be a marine/ gain good reputation ~ Max mastery - Genetic Awakening (25% increase in defensive stats) Mink: Base mastery - Only Sulong form (50% increase in all physical stats at night) ~ Max mastery - Base stats increased by 10%, Sulong effectivity increased by 10% Skypiean: Base mastery - Glide (nothing else because fuck skypieans) ~ Max mastery - Observation haki lets you see chat bubbles across the entire island(fuck skypieans again) Human: Base mastery - 5% xp/mastery bonus and 5% extra max haki ~ Max mastery - Haki effectivity increase by 10% and length increased by 10%

Human buffs: Black leg and rokushiki dmg (I can't think of any other buffs for human) Mink buffs: electro dmg and speed Sharkman buffs: Shark Karate dmg and swim speed Skypean buffs: weapon dmg, glide ability and larger geppos Cyborg buffs: can regen itself and craft things more easy idk

Every race would have passive buffs and debuffs like minks and lunarians would have elemental passives with lunarians being able to fly and minks being able to use sulong fish man would have fish man karate a speed boost in water and can breathe in water but fish man for instance would experience racism

Man you talking about race balance like this is Rogue Lineage. I'm sure you already know this but we get to _choose_ our race on spawn. Giving races strong and varied buffs isn't an issue as long as they're either balanced, have considerable drawbacks, or are non-combat related. Underwater gameplay doesn't make up the entire game, so fishman being better at looting the deep sea and having an easier time getting around it would just make sense. Races should fulfill different gameplay niches to encourage different play-styles and overall replayability. When balancing races, you have to worry somewhat about, well, the race balance- obviously. Making sure fighting styles aren't too overtuned, buffs aren't too strong, etc. But, more than that, you have to consider the game balance itself. If looting the ocean ends up being far more lucrative than anything else, then yeah, fishman might turn out to be the best race for farming by default. If looting a specific island turns out to be looting meta, and that island requires you to do lots of parkour or move quickly, then maybe Mink will end up being the best farming race. You get the point. That said, I know these developers can make each race feel cool and unique while still keeping them balanced if they put in the time and effort. If all the races have bland, basic stat buffs, to keep it real I'm gonna be kinda pissed. As a side note, while I think _becoming_ a cyborg would be really cool, if you go back and watch the first few minutes of the Rell seas movie, cyborg is one of the starting races you can select. Maybe they've changed it, but it's safest to assume it's just going to be a starting option.

I understand the concern for diversity and wanting the game to be fair, but Race passives and such should stay the same. To make everyone happy, just make it so that you’re able to pick your race in the beginning instead of making it RNG based. Ofcourse other races aren’t gonna be able to do what eachother do, they’re supposed to be diverse and have different gameplay styles.

i think minks can gin energy from electic damage/moves or it being night time for sulong and shark men would get one after eating a ball or stating in the water for a while like hordy jones

0:50 ofcourse u have to be a mink to use electro. also your point of it being in the inventory is wrong because he also has multiple devil fruits in there, so its not wrong to assume hes giving himself electro jus so he can test it / use it

The best Idea its that you should not nerf there is other ways to make things work and if you "nerf" everything that look op welp we got some example of games that actually do that and im not looking for 5 hour grind some stuff to be said they are nerfing after nah bro this kill a lot of games for one good reason you can aways add new stuff without killing the old ones that can be said for races items fruits or whatever bc once you start nerfing you have to nerf everything just to make a small amount of players like more the game

i think fishman should be able to swim as fast as like some boats and be able to breath underwater indefinetly and maybe have a city underwater since they would have a debuff of being only 75% as fast on land and need to be drenched once in a while to not dry out and fishman karate should be exclusive to fishmen and the same with electro for minks
