Ngl i think that in actual open world gameplay fruit interactions like immunities should work like they do in the anime, but when in a ranked mode those immunities should instead be resistances like what swiftdfg said. That way the world can still be immersive and feel like it stays accurate to most aspects of one piece while also not taking away from people who want a balanced combat experience.

If they made the megaladon/seabeast fight under the submarine, I think something like what the guy said where they ram into the glass and break it, it could be a mini cutscene where everybody falls to the bottom of the sea but someone throws a bubble onto the floor while each sea beast has different attack patterns and paralyzed moments, which would be an amazing boss fight. For fruit interactions to make it more canonical to the people who would prefer it, there should be some perks like gum being resistant to lightning paralyzing/shock with some type of damage reduction, ice taking more/less damage from burn (depends whether you see ice being melted or ice being colder than fire so negating burn), fire and magma users being resistant to burn, if green bulls fruit gets added it should have more burn damage against it, things like this could make fights more interesting than just going with the most busted thing in the game, like every update a new fruit will get its own pros/cons for this type of stat system. (ALSO MAKE IT SO SOME LOGIAS DO DMG/DEBUFFS if you hit them without haki, you get some burn dmg if they have magma/flame, if they have ice you could get a slow effect like what happened with aokiji) P.S. i hope that if you are a (haki user only) you got all of your weapons have a special haki move like Divine Departure etc

If they do add gum being resistant to goro they should make it to where if the damage of goros moves do 20% less then gum should take like 10% more damage from weapons to balance it out a bit
