at the beginning those concrete blocks [ i think ] were left over from a sewer drain project years ago...and at the end of the video @13;32 is from an old railroad bridge..when i was a kid me and my brother found a dog tied and tared to that brindge around [ 1977 or so i think ]..yes we took him home the next day ..

Would have been nice to see some drone footage over the shaft & drift opening. Thanks for sharing another bit of history.

Chris- We discovered remains of a colliary in Conyngham township near Centralia but we can't figure out which one it is. None of the maps of collieries in Schuylkill and Columbia counties show that there was a colliary in that location. Do you know which one it could be? It looks like it would've been active until the 30's and required massive power. There are old defunct wooden transmission (k-frame) towers near it. There was also a railroad that went by it.

I wonder why they lined that iron pipe with wood? Was it water going through it?
