Jerry and Linda we came from San Antonio, TX and even though we aren’t native Texans they used to tell us that we had two kinds of armadillos, round back and flat back!😂😂😂 We saw lots of both kinds there. Sadly, we haven’t seen any round backs here, just the flat backs in the road!

I think The Villages is better suited to singles than other locations just because in your average city, the number of singles within the age range that you may feel as appropriate would be very low compared to the density of that age group and singles in The Villages.

Well, I was a witness to a car accident on Morris Boulevard called 911 after a car flipped at the roundabout and just a few few days ago a deputy showed up with a subpoena for me to come to court and be a witness so getting involved means you have to be willing to spend a little bit of your time and put some effort in which, of course I think is part of your civic duties.

Thrown back Thursday, trash bag Thursday (seems somewhat inappropriate). There really is nothing that is synonymous with mailbag that starts with a T much less a TH. I must agree with Linda on this one. I think that structure near the highway could be some type of digital communications antenna. Who knows. I’m just guessing. It looks like it may also have a camera on it. I’m sure The Villages is no different from any other city when in comes to singles in a couples world

Hi Jerry and Linda. As always love your show. My vote is to return to one long show on Mondays. I always watch the rerun because I work during the day. If I need to pause I do and finish later. My opinion is the show seems choppy and you’re wearing the same clothes on Thursday. Lol. I want to weigh in on Amy’s segment. Again just my opinion, Amy’s answer to not getting married is not a biblical one, so get married because God will bless it. My Grandmother got remarried at age 70. They were both widowed. She lived to be 93. They had a very blessed marriage. If you think your assets are more important than the covenant of marriage, by all means do the prenuptial. But my question for Amy would be…wouldn’t a will suffice? Thanks for your channel. See you when we get there!

As a single living here for 3.5 yrs I can say that 'couples' gather together and rarely are singles of either gender included. The singles groups are a good social option and Jerry is right, single women out number the men by far.

Jury duty is only for the county you reside in. Although The Villages has multiple counties, you will only be asked to serve in the county you reside and vote in.

I like the old format: Mailbag Monday (with Wally's intro) and Free-wheeling Thursday. Maybe you could shave a few minutes here and there from each video, but I was never too concerned about length or time. I didn't particularly like Cindy's saving segment today. I'm all for saving money, but the clip came across like an internet commercial for Amway products. Just my opinion, of course.

Did the Tea Party have Coffee? My wife has been gone for almost a week back up in Ohio. She is coming back with three other ladies to go on a ladies cruise. I am not sure if they control the irrigation with the antennas, I still see the watering system on during or after hard rains. I have been called in our county “Lake”and served on a jury my wife has also been called but not served. In Clark county Nevada I have served on a Federal jury. Jerry you would look good in an Ohio State shirt. My father in law remarried and he had a prenuptial, that way her kids got what she had after her death, me, I wouldn’t remarry. I think the salty letter is from a local that just plain spreads wrong information trying to hurt those of us that live here. Ybull

I think the question about signs, political or otherwise, needs further explanation. I watched another channel that explained signs are not allowed on your lawn or on the outside of your house. They can be displayed from inside the house on a window. And of course they can be displayed on golfcarts.

Florida has a age limit for jury duty. I believe is it 70 1/2 or close to that age. You aren't required to serve after that age.

I think it is sad and irresponsible to tell folks not to marry later in life. There are laws in place to protect those over 60 from losing some benefits from prior long marriages. For some , late marriage may be a last chance for a happy marriage and life. All sorts of things might go wrong for some people but not everyone. Don’t generalize!!!

Our Post Office box is at Fruitland Park Post Office. They have Post Office boxes at the ups store but they were more expensive.
