I played coolmath games sometimes as a kid, but for me the real nostalgia was y8 games, salute to fireboy and water girl the papa louie franchise, run, az etc... and also rip flash, you will forever be missed

I remember playing Fire Boy and Water Girl while in the hospital while I waited to be admitted for some mental health stuff when I was 16. That game brought me so much joy during a scary period of my life.

Run really shaped my likes on sci fi when I was a kid. Like the alone in a empty void kind. Just the idea of this lone alien running in this space maze all alone with no real reason creeped me out as a kid but also interested me. It’s probably why I like No Man Sky single player so much. Being alone in space is both horrifying but amazing at the same time.

For some reason the whole site (*especially* like a decade ago) has a sort of 90s vibe to it. Like one of the last vestiges of the old wild west days of the internet or something. Not sure how old it really is, but it certainly carries that vibe. That sort of aesthetic combined with the timeless games and nostalgic setting really helps to amp up the nostalgia to its max.

My school has literally every website you imagined blocked. Naturally, kids started hunting for proxies that weren't blocked and there was a black market of them. I made like $100 off that lol.

Our school network would automatically restrict access to sites with flash games & such, although for some reason, coolmathgames was the one site that was never blocked. It probably got whitelisted because it had "math" in the name or something lol

I remember playing Fireboy and Watergirl with my friend, we were always arguing about who is going to be a girl because no one wanted to be a girl. Some games I really loved back then, even if they might not be on CMG but still old, are Tank Trouble, Tanki Online (which is now really bad with all these updates), and the best Flash game series I've ever played, no, not Piko - Strike Force Heroes series

Fortunatly there still are ways to play flash games. Newgrounds has this thing which let's you play them, there's a thing called blue maximas flashpoint which also let's you play them, and flash emulators like ruffle might improve over time.

I remember some kid was playing it on a computer next to me, I just saw it looked up the Websight and I still occasionally revisit it. Although a bit slow I like seeing the older games recover from the death of flash and I hope I can play Papa's Donutreia again some day.

Yes, I remember CoolMath Games. Run and Fireboy/Watergirl were pretty fun, tho I fondly remember the Papa Restaraunt series (mainly Freezeria, as I've played that one the most). Anyways, good video.

I remember playing a tower climbing game. You played as a knight that starts the "round" with a rocket on which you had to time the perfect start. Then you'd have to slash some monsters to keep your speed up to not get caught by the rising lava. If you rose up enough you'd go through a floor and rescue a princess. It was fun.

One game I constantly played on CoolMath was Guardian Rock. Basically, you move this Rock Guardian around to kill all the archeologists to prevent them from exploring the temple. The thing I remember most about the game was the fantastic ost, it only had 3 songs but god damn were they amazing. Sadly, the game was made in flash so playing it nowadays is difficult.

The OSTs for some of the CoolMathGames were so much better than they had any right to be. I remember when I was younger, I didn’t like the soundtrack Sugar Sugar had because I thought it sounded depressing, but looking back, I’d probably find it calming like a lo-fi. Also, super Santa kicker had a fire OST. Only four songs, but I guess they went with quality over quantity.

My three favourites were Sticky Ninja Academy, Catch The Candy and Home Sheep Home. Though, Sticky Ninja was and always will be my #1. I even bought it a couple years ago long after I left public school to continue playing it on my phone. Now that I have a laptop, I'm glad I can still visit the site whenever I want. Cool Math is just something else.

Tricky Keys is an awesome CoolMathGames game. Basically, you play as a Mouse and go through an infected computer. It's a platform game, but with a twist: some levels will take away your controls, or automatically use them. For example, one level might make it so you can't go left, so you have to wall jump off walls and such. Or, during a level, the game will force you to automatically jump every once in a while, so you'll have to make sure it doesn't screw you over. I was able to reach the final level before CMG was blocked on my laptop lol. I'd highly suggest playing it because the level design is really fun and there are plenty of stages to play.

I love playing Duck Life (all of them except for the space one, since I haven't played that one yet). I also enjoyed Papa's Pizzeria and different types of it (even those games where you run and do tasks and shoot burgers or whatever).

I remember when everybody in my 1st and 2nd grade combo-class grinded in Jacksmith on this website whenever we got free choice. Then when I in first heard about the flash engine being discontinued, ever years after 1st grade, I prayed that Jacksmith wasn’t gonna be one of the shut down games, but then, it obviously was. Run has an installment formula similar to classic Nintendo trilogies; 1 is the most iconic basis, 2 is the experimental outlier, and 3 is the one that mastered the formula

Another game I really enjoyed a few years back before my school blocked cool math games was this game where the only 2 colors were pink and black and it was a run and gun type game with a pretty good ending. I couldn’t for the life of me find it again but I remember it being so fun

Anyone trying the newer games, I highly suggest you play "rotate". It has really interesting puzzles, fun platforming, and a somewhat complex story.

I loved Coolmathgames when I was a middle schooler and it was probably the best alternative to Newgrounds if you just wanted to just play games, but the only games I played most of the time were the BTD series and Sticky Ninja but I did play one of the run games a little and a game called Raft Wars. Btw I don't know if this was propaganda that my old teachers made up, but does the site have viruses and malware?

I don't think CoolMathGames had any viruses, or malware on it, it's probably made up fibbage, I'm pretty sure they blocked it cause kids were playing on the site rather than doing tasks in school.

Honestly learn to fly 2 was the best part of grade 5 for me and then learn to fly 3 came out and it was amazing as well.. Its finally been switched to html5. Also the Big Tower Tiny Square games were also amazing. Those games got me through grade 5.

I remember cool math games. It was the highlight of elementary school, everyone and I mean everyone would play it. My favorite was always jacksmith, but sadly it was made in flash. Sometimes I go back on cool math to remember simpler times.
