Playing 10 frames of Elf Bowling 1 in the Game Boy Advance game Elf Bowling 1& 2. Released: 2005
You may remember the flash game from 1998 called Elf bowling. It was a promotional game that became kind of an internet sensation. It even got popular enough to get released on the Nintendo GBA and DS.
This is the GBA version of Elf Bowling 1 from the two game cartridge which also contains the sequel(Elf Bowling 2). I haven't played Elf Bowling 2 yet but it seems to have more "content". I might show that one as well if I get some more free time before Christmas.
The gameplay is very simple. The little aim meter scrolls back and forth and you merely push A when you want to throw the ball. I think the main attraction here are the elves. They have some funny voice lines and animations. There is very little sound aside from the voice samples and I think it would have benefited from some simple Christmas music.
I'm not sure why Santa is doing this, but there's probably a good reason in the extensive Elf Bowling lore.
