I was there last week. It was impossible to not cry. On your way in to the village there are photos of the children, women and men that was murdered. It was so powerful. Lets not forget.

thank you very much for such a well informative video, it is like anyone who watches this is walking alongside you, I think you have done the victims proud by telling the world that these were REAL people. Real human beings who were taken by monsters.

Thank you for your comment Joanne. If you are interested I have a book out that looks further into the lives of the villagers. It is called Silent Village.

A deeply moving and sensitively presented account of one of the most barbaric incidents from WW2. It is clear that Robert must have found this an extremely difficult task to undertake but one which so many will appreciate; both now and into the future. May I say that I despair a little of some who have viewed this video and could only find time to criticise the background music. If, while watching and experiencing a heartfelt account, such as this, you leave with your primary reflection being that the music was a problem then I feel just a little sorry for you and disappointed for the creator of this piece of work.

I wonder if today's Germans ever visit this tragedy?.....It would be kind and respectful if they didn't!. I am amazed at how the French are so forgiving!. All humans have faults th their character. However, Germans have shown this in an exceptional way...!

Everyone in the world should know about this tragedy. Unfortunately the problem with tragedies is that there have been so many of them, with so many lessons we should have learned, only to see them repeated in the future. Even that is a tragedy in and of itself. But I know what you mean.

Valuable video in recording what remains of a French village which can be used to reconstruct typical French village architecture in this region. I love the post office with the turn of the century lettering and minimalist decorative style. The photos too are poignant reminders of the times and village life in this part of France prior to the ww2. I have not read the book but will purchase it soon as I am knee deep in architectural studies of northern France.... Thanks for this and all that you do. What remains is a valuable resource.

I just finished reading a book called The Alice Network. Oradour sur Glane is written into it and intrigued me to watch this documentary. Very tastefully done. The author of The Alice Network, Kate Quinn, mentions you and your book in the epilogue. I will read it.

Excellent. But background music is loud and distracting. Making it hard to hear what you are saying. And increasing the volume for your voice, makes the background music even louder. We are taking a break at 22 minutes but will be back.

I had a dream. I was at my former employer, and I knew I didn't belong there. I was passing people in the halls, encountering them, and they were not nice or angry, they just moved pass in entropy.. But I knew I didn't belong end yet I was passively accepted as long as I kept moving. I need to write a book about this.

These people were completely defenseless against these sub human cowards, and putting a little baby in an oven are you for real! This is beyond war crimes. This is hard-core terrorism if these folks would've been armed at least they would've had a fighting chance, this is why us American's real Americans not the radical left stand with our Second Amendment rights, this righ here is a fine example why, and this despicable act shall never be forgotten or forgiven ever!!
