I’m reading this book for the second time. It’s so good, surreal and touching. These guys carried on working for him despite not being paid as well. Both of their houses had their electric cut, and Javon even had his car repo’d. They lived off ramen, bread and hotdogs for a while because they had no money. But they still remained loyal right to the end. Bless them both.

Finished the book today and I luved it... it was hilarious and beautiful how two people decided to stick with mj no matter what... I read the book through audible at work I found bill being my favorite character but MJ made me laugh alot his knowledge about the world and expectation what he wanted had me cracking up alot I caught myself going back to youtube looking at faces listening to mj laugh watching him in real time going back to look up names to research if people i heard in the book i also googled addresses to get a visual i understood his position and their position and how devastated they must have been in the end all i can say is some of the people who were managing mj especially in the end will have a very interesting after life

You can never be to careful MJ had seems like every vulture in around the world working for him javon was loyal to MJ and wasnt a threaten that's all we could ask of him... I wish he could have gone to the honest way of living instead the people around him basically claimed Mj for his choice, he was used to the life style and perks that came with knowing MJ 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ anyways I'm gonna pray for him and hope everything works out he was there for MJ God knows he needed someone to be

He identified himself as a father, but outside of that you're probably right. Its important to remember, that Michael was a performer from the age of 6 until the day he died. That's 44 years in the spotlight, with very few times anyone would consider "normal". It had to mess with his head eventually.

You obviously haven't paid much attention. Bill Whitfield and Javon Beard went for weeks and possibly even months, with no pay at all. Michael's finances were a wreck during the last two years of his life; its a sad but true reality. The Estate didn't start to profit until maybe a year or more, after Michael died.

I found this book in my library and I'm reading it now, I'm halfways but I can't believe these guys went along with Jacksons every whim... The man did not need protection, he needed therapy and he needed to get back to the real world. Maybe the he'd still be alive today. Michael played the wounded puppy all his life and in his adulthood it bite him in the back. Ironic and sad.

Marco Alexa Maybe if you had to deal with half of the bullshit he did you wouldn't be saying that. And 'he didn't need protection', are you kidding me? He was the most targeted man in the world! And the people who were targeted him eventually succeeded in killing him, so he was right to be scared and be paranoid

They systematically and in a calculated way destroyed his career, his reputation and his finances and finally sent him to an early grave.. and then made billions after his death. you call that playing a wounded puppy? Michael wasn't paranoid.. he was aware. That was a witch hunt of a trapped lion by a ring of hyenas who ate him alive

Alexa Extraordinaire really were you working at 5 yrs old did your dad beat you if you missed a step be like being beat for missing a basket or a baseball look at a 5 ur old imagine them going through what he went through michael was a victim to the press to some of the people around him ex conrad murray and if your family made fun of you and then your in the world and they write all those horrific lies. How would you feel? Unfortunately he didnt have a childhood hood and his adult life was cut to short before you judge someone 1 you should know them if you dont please keep your judgement people that actually knew michael loved him said he was chosen he was an angel sent directly from GOD to help to heal the world
