gosh, ive grown up with this song. whenever i hear it i think of my grandma who during her last years of life couldnt even remember her son. Weirdly enough she could recite the most beautiful poetry, remembered the weirdest historical events but she didnt know where she lived anymore. She lost herself to alzheimers and this song always hit so close to home for me. This is beautiful.

I pray for peace for your grandmother. Your story reminds me of my great grandmother. I was her only grandson, and she always spoiled me when i was a kid. When her mind started going because of Alzheimer's she forgot everybody. She was always a sweetheart so she would talk to anybody, but when i walked in she would dote on me as her only grandson. I miss her dearly and look forward to reuniting with her in heaven one day.

When I was a kid I always thought that The Ice King and Marceline were a really bittersweet duo. Now I've grown up, alone, and I think that Simon's story is the most tragic I've ever seen. Great cover

I love this cover so much, i’ve had this head canon for years that The Ice King and his need for the crown is a metaphor for substance abuse. Watching his mind slip away and treat those he loves in ways he never would hammered it home. It helped when dealing with similar issues.

When I was a kid and watching adventure time it started off so chill just the fun of going on adventures then with every season it gets exponentially more emotional with the troubles of romance, anger with family and loss of friends along the way all to end with everyone singing together
