Remembering Ibn-E-Insha in his Birth Anniversary - Ye Baatein Jhoothi Baatein Hain | Nazm
Ibn e Insha was an renowned Pakistani Urdu poet, columnist and travel writer. Along with his poetry, he was regarded as one of the best humorists of Urdu, his mastery over satire stood unrivalled. Ibn-E-Insha was born on 15 June 1927 in Jalandhar District, Punjab. He started writing at the age of 11 with the name Sher Muhammad "Asghar" because his real name was Sher Muhammad Khan, but when a tutor told him that mayoosi (despair) is forbidden then he took up another pen name, Qaiser Sehrayi. But as time passed, he adopted the name by which he became famous 'Ibn-E- Insha'.
