@mr.g1123 3 жыл бұрын
@@innosanto that’s why I’ve said his apprentice. Let me say it this way. Jordan is King and Kobe Prince of the game. But like we said before. This title is not taken lightly. Not only numbers make you the goat. The impact on the game, mindset and accomplishments in that era, impact outside the field, charisma, style, etc. That’s why they both are Goats. Of course Jordan is King. But take Lebron. His definitely is in top 5 of all time. But you can’t just become a Goat on pure numbers. Like Messi cant dethrone Maradona. Like Mayweather cant dethrone Mike Tyson. There are levels and -ways- of accomplishments. And especially the impact they had on the game.

If I recall correctly, The East had a game winner situation, and Lebron went over to be the inbounder. Kobe started roasting him. Probably took it too far. Then I believe there were multiple plays and Lebron wanted no part. Kobe understood the individual matchups grow the game. He tried to put on a show. Sadly, Lebron still shys away from those heads up situations. There’s been a few times he’s been shamed into it, but that’s about it.

I was in the break room at work. Just took lunch with about 75-100 other workers. The news hit us and most started talking about it. My friend stated something like “ He knew he was going to die. What do you think was going through his mind?” I didn’t realize it but I hadn’t moved. I was staring at the tv still. ( deep in though) I turned and said quietly “He was trying to save his daughter” The people around me grew quiet. I heard others asking “What’d he say?” Some cried. Others eat quietly. I just sat there feeling like I lost a piece of me. I cried when I got home. I didn’t know I would. But I don’t cry for Kobe the black mamba. Or Kobe the legend. I cried for Kobe the Father. Because, in the end, that’s what he needed to be for her. And Kobe always came through in the clutch. RIP KOBE BRYANT

Kobe had so much impact on people that those who hated him and the ones who didn't even know him. Kobe was so legendary the day he died the world stopped moving and came together as one.

Kobe was the first celebrity death i genuinely cried over. I actually used to kinda make fun of people for it. I never realized how much Kobe meant to me personally. He shaped me as a sports fan and a person. I was distraught for weeks. Couldn't even watch highlights without tears. The greatest competitor of my generation. Not athlete. Not ball player....competitor. He represents desire hard work and the will to be better. Splash in peace mamba.

Mad respect for you doing this video...L.A. was full of tears when he passed...and even fans of his adversaries were broken by that news. Kobe was just supposed to win in life...when he retired, Angelinos had to respect it and let him go cause he gave everything he had always..and we did let him go only to later lose him in a way we couldn't understand...RIP

Jordan loved Kobe and saw himself in him. Kobe always said he’d never say he was better than MJ because MJ was a mentor and taught him so much. On the flip side, MJ said no one could beat him one on one, except maybe Kobe “because he stole all my moves” lol 🐐🐐 Their killer mentality is why I have them 1 & 2 in the GOAT talk.

Rest in Peace Kobe :( you were an inspiration to a lot of basketball players and a lot of people period. Kobe and MJ are to Basketball what Em is to rap. Both fierce competitors, who aren't afraid to tell you how it is and how it's going to be

Aye, Stevie, same here. I was NEVER a Kobe fan but I respected him and looked up to him as a family man and just a mentor on approaching life. I cried like a mf for Kobe and Nipsey too. Same reasons. Crazy. I ain’t expect me to react like I did hearing the news about Kobe.

Kobe was a true student of the game....always learning, from whatever source he could.....all those Lakers legends at his disposal.....and other NBA greats, as well.....like the Summer he improved his post-up game by training one-on-one with Hakeem Olajuwon....and texting Michael Jordan at all hours of the day and night for advise, as MJ talked about at Kobe's memorial....and the things that Reggie talked about! Kobe was also a true renaissance man.....not only learning basketball from Magic, but also how to be a business man.....promoting woman's basketball and other sports, providing a youth training center, supporting youth sports in general....being a great "girl dad"........one time, having never played piano before, he leaned to play Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata".....and played it for people...just because he wanted to! And winning a special short subject Oscar on his first venture into that media???!!!....are you kidding me???!!! Gone too soon for us to really see what that next chapter of his life was going to be.......and Gigi was going to be the best WNBA player, I guaranty! But we have all those memories!

Kobe is a legend in every sense of the word The Mamba mentality, the ridiculous skill and he is the most intelligent, ruthless and relentless athlete I’ve ever seen at any sport or at any level. Kobe spoke like 3 different languages fluently. Rest in Paradise 24-8. Solid video homie.

Dude, I had the same exact reaction! Mj was my guy growing up and I couldn’t even recognize other guards as worthy, except Kobe even though I wouldn’t. It’s funny how we become attached and detached from these greats! What a freakin Killer! Rip and mad respect! Great video dude

@Stevie Knight I'm glad I watched this video...the 55pt game against Jordan... been watching replays of that game for the past 12years, it finally made sense. I first saw the game when I was on a basketball trip when I was in high school at Ci Cis Pizza when I was a Juniorback in 2003. Did not know there was a story behind it

As a life time Laker and Kobe fan, I really appreciate this video. As fan of basketball even though you knew you didn’t really like him because he torched your teams you still respected it. And I think as Laker fans we knew this Kobe, that’s why a lot of us put him up there with MJ. So it’s nice to see the rest of the basketball world see him and his raw stories!
