I got my book signed in Houston. We talked about our musical daughter's singing and the struggles that brings. So on the way home after I had picked up my daughter from her voice lesson, we are driving home and Naomi was on the radio. She said one lady touched her heart today and then she called my daughter's name and told her to follow her dream. We screamed and cried we were so excited. She will be truly missed by many.

I have Naomi's Home Companion cook book. A treasury of favorite recipes, food for thought and kitchen wit and wisdom. It is full of photos, family stories, Naomi's sayings, her thoughts on various things, family history, experiences she's had, great advice.. it's more than just a cook book, though the recipes are wonderful too! I've got a ton of their music. I was raised in the Rock n Roll era, didn't even like country music until I heard the Judds on the radio one day at work. I was in my late 20's then,..when I got pulled into the country music scene! I've been there ever since..my favorite music, all because of the Judds. RIP Naomi

I thank you so very much for taking the time and sharing so many wonderful memories of The Judds. Wynonna and Naomi so precious. I have been a fan since the 80s brings back so many memories. I was born in Brooklyn New York I remember listening to them on the radio being interviewed so awesome. The first time I saw them I thought they were sisters. Then living in Texas years later I was honored and privileged to see them in concert at the rodeo in Houston Texas in the old Dome so awesome wow!! I will always remember ❤️ a wonderful time a memory I will never forget. 🎶 I have a shirt from that show. Now years later sad passing of Naomi and Wynonna doing farewell shows of The Judds. Bittersweet. As so many loyal fans of The Judds I will never ever forget these precious moments and memories for ever so very blessed. Wynonna I love you and God bless you and Ashley always in my prayers. Thank you soo much. God rest Naomi's precious soul. ❤️ ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🫰🫰🫰

My heart hurts as the Judd Family wades the the heaviness of grief...Thank you Wynnona and Ashley for sharing your beautiful Mother with us ....Sometimes when he calls you home there is no time to pack..... But know that the love ,and her ability to always let others see Jesus through her ....was a gift that touched so many . ..May you all soon find Peace and Comfort in the memories of Healthier Happier times .. Our loss although she didn't really belong to us ....but her gentle Christian ways made it easy for so many of us to call her family....Is Heavens gain so Naomi sing and harmonize with the Angels..... Rest In Eternal Peace ...and know your music your spirit will live on and continue to touch and heal so many.....

@Tonya Harmon ...nothing you said has a thing to do with my comment. I'm a believer in not committing suicide..she was begging for help She asked people to stay with her. Nothing wrong with having full time care by committing them or doing it yourself. You for sure don't keep guns around. My dad leaves guns and will lose my mentally ill mother living there if he keeps it up..hospice calls me to fix it and make sure he removed them. She climbs out windows in a foot of snow with a night gown on..no shoes or coat...claiming my dad won't take her to the hospital for reasons that don't exist. They keep her committed for months until her meds are balanced out..we struggle to keep her alive and miss her mind and love...they do have meds to help...and if they didnt...why call the suicide hot lines? What would be the point? You can tell your story but don't pin it on me or mine like I don't get it or don't have a right to my feelings on the matter. When my mom threatens taking her life it's a demon from hell attacking her frail condition. I don't believe like you do...your comment offended me.The Lord will forgive murder if you repent and mean it...but how do you repent if your dead? I'll say their situation was different in that she had money to pay for an in home nurse....like we're trying to get for my mom but their insurance limits it. It's costly...and I'm up in age also I have my own health issues. God has a reason...I'm not sure what it is but we all need help under these circumstances....prayers to you all..in Jesus name

Thank you so much for sharing this. All of us who lived through The Judds reign of country music clearly remember why they were so huge .... they kept it REAL, and created some of the most memorable, magical, beautiful and enduring music of all time. I was not even a country music fan in the 80s, ( I was a metalhead) but my wife had left the car radio tuned in to a country station as I drove to work one morning. I was getting ready to put it back on a rock station when "Grandpa, Tell me Bout the Good ole Days" started playing. Everything about that song was so beautiful, I let it play all the way through. The DJ didn't even tell who the artists of the song were, so when I got to work I started asking around, singing some of the lyrics for my co-workers. So began my journey with The Judds, and my appreciation of country music. Naomi Judd was the relentless, driving force behind their success and she knew her daughter had an amazing and very unique voice. I'm so glad that she was determined and persistent and fought the fight as long as she could. May this remarkable lady R.I.P. at last.

This is wonderful of you to do this. It breaks my heart that Naomi couldn't hang on,l truly believe if she knew she was going to be inducted to the Country Hall of Fame that it may have helped her depression and given her enough to stay with her family. l have bad anxiety as well where l have to go anywhere but where l am it truly not a nice thing to have. I hope Ashely gets help for dealing with her finding her Mama. I pray Wyonna and hopes she gets help it will be awfully hard for both these girls. I pray for Larry Strickland his heart is broken and pray he finds some peace. And you are awesome!!!!

Naomi Judd had a soft spot in her heart for daughters. I know because daughter my dsughter, at the age of 17, entered us in the annual Women's Day Expo's "Mother-Daughter of the Year" contest. It was somewhat like a pageant, in that you had to choose a gown to wear on stage, there were very hard questions, and a tough panel of judges before us. The competition was steep. We were ecstatic when our names were the last called from the top 5. That meant we had won. To me, winning wasn't the crowning jewel, except that it made my daughter, Stacy, happy! But, after being crowned, I looked to my right and there, in the huge audience, was Chief Wilma Mankiller applauding me & my baby girl, on stage. I had to choke back tears. As we left the stage, there was a curtain and behind that curtain a platform with stairs that descended onto the floor of the rest of Expo Square. This ~1/8th of the enormous building was totally empty, except for one thing. As I stood there staring, at the only visable person not involved in the pageant, I saw Naomi Judd. She was standing by a white limousine, looking straight at me and applauding. She had a huge smile on her face. It was as genuine as smiles come. I felt like I was in the presence of a queen! She had been my hero! I had read the story of her life, to that point, and saw so many similarities between Naomi and myself. Naomi just kept applauding and smiling as she raised her hands in the air (still applauding). Then she stopped and blew me a kiss. Then she waved as she disappeared into her beautiful ride. No one had paid a bit of attention to what had just happened backstage. It was like it went in slow motion to me. In reality it was probably, at most, 5 minutes total. I told everyone what had happened but when they looked, her limo was gone. So much for believing my story! But my daughter, Stacy, believed me. She knew I'd never lie to her. We had always had a special bond. In fact, for Mother's Day she bought me tickets to see the Judds, knowing how I adored them. She was at the concert with me. We had great seats and could see the expressions on Naomi & Wynona's faces. Naomi and her beautiful daughter, Wynona, were absolutely incredible. Prior to starting thier 2nd song, Naomi nodded our way, as if to say, "Hi ". I don't know if she recognized me or that nod was meant for someone else but I was gobsmacked! I will never forget Naomi Judd's graciousness to me, as a crowned winner of the Mother/Daughter of the Year contest, or as a spectator of 1/2 of the most fabulous duo in Country music history; the Judds! Most of all, I love her as the women who really lived a normal life and wasn't afraid to tell the world the truth about who she was. We only shared 5 minutes of our lives but it transformed my insecurities that no one guessed I had. Thank you Naomi Judd! The world is a darker place without your brightness here. But, you now have no more diseases and can go on to the Heaven we all dream of. God understands mental illness. It's a silent disease to all but him. Thank you for one of the sweetest memories in my life; you.

Admiring from afar, Hurting in secret reaching for my star my prayer is to keep it. You are my star I'm busy gazing for what it seems like eternity too fearful for speaking too nervous for flirting My words escape me. Yet flourish from maybe it's not my season, but my love for age I guess in this way , I can truly say " you are my star you are my star " But I'm just a quimmer in the galaxy of existence, Who no one ever notice, even from no distance I've yearned for so long For you without me, is like a singer with no song a play without actors or jelly without butter Yet I still choose to say " you are my star " By Chezbona September 16, 2014. Joseph great video I was so touched seeing you at the end as a little boy so Happy to have gotten his autograph and meeting your star. 🌟

Hello Joseph Thank You for telling your story , about Naomi signing your book, and how it all took place , l love to listen to Naomi and Wynona singing together , their songs always had such meaningful words ! The two of them are so gorgeous’Naomi could have been a Princess at Disney “she was so beautiful oh Also Ashley the Actress is very pretty too ! I don’t know why but the pass couple of weeks before Naomi’s death l was going through some of her recent videos about her having such severe depression, l never knew that she or Wynona suffered with depression, l was always interested in Videos about Elvis Presley because he was always my favorite singer since l was a 5 year old lam 73 will soon be 74 in June , but why l started thinking about the Judds several weeks ago is beyond me , then when l received the notification on Saturday of her death l was completely in shock, l was thinking, now this guy here does not need a KZfaq channel if he’s going to make up lies ! I did not want to believe it and my heart just sunk so l went over to the news and sure enough it was true , l was in shock like l had lost someone close , l was loving listening to Naomi’s life and all the things she endured which l never knew , l had such great administration for her coming out and discussing something that was real in my life , anxiety n depression, and she wasn’t afraid to discuss it ! Most people want to run away from anyone who has it or talks about “She was a remarkable person and l will never forget her or the mother n daughter duo , Thank you for sharing your video of The Judds 🙏💁‍♀️💕🙏🙏

I second that opinion! I just wanted to ask y'all: I know Naomi had challenges all through her life but I always got the feeling that the real downhill slide happened after her hep C diagnosis and she was forced to retire. I just got the feeling that's when things really went dark for her. Does anybody else feel that way?

Wow, loved hearing your story about the book signing, just amazing, and seeing the clip of you with the autographed book, so precious 🙂 I love the photo of Naomi with the rose in her hair, like a vintage pin up, nice to see it in color. Congrats on your vinyl finds, those covers are iconic. Your a great storyteller, I hope somewhere Naomi is smiling at this, she would love it. RIP Naomi💕🌸🕊️🌈

This is so heartbreaking 💔 I have lived with severe depression and panic attacks most of my life. I'll be 62 in July, and I have battled this since I was 5. It breaks my heart that Naomi had battled this all these years ,💔

A guy I was dating at the time was at the bookstore she was signing books at in St Louis, MO. He was just shopping, having no idea she was going to be there. She spots him (he was about 6’4 and very, very handsome), and shouts ‘THERE YOU ARE! I’ve been looking for you!’ So he walked over and chatted with her and now has an awesome story to tell his grandchildren 🤗

My older brother took his life five years ago due to depression & alcoholism... So I totally get what it's like...we found him in the bottom of the canyon by our home, fire trucks, police trucks & ambulances all over...a mess!! You never want to be part of the SUICIDE CLUB..Prayers to the family.
