On September 17, 2018, RCPD Officer/Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Mark Stasyuk started his shift like any other day. He and his beat partner Officer Julie Robertson responded to a call for service to protect our community that tragically ended with Officer Stasyuk making the ultimate sacrifice. Officer Stasyuk was a four-and-a-half year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office and served our Rancho Cordova community as a patrol officer.
Two years later, the loss continues to leave a lasting impression on our community. We remember the man he was and the self-motivated, energetic officer who enjoyed building relationships with our residents.
