Better than most Christian apologists. At least he is willing to accept %99 of science and he doesn't attempt make up answers as so many Christians do. Based on the religious zealotry we often see of Muslims in the middle east however, I have to conclude that he is a rare progressive among many ignorant fundamentalists. He should avoid talking about specifics on biology though. Lucy and Cro-Magnon comments were wrong and didn't help his argument.

"I demand of you, and of the whole world, that you show me a generic character ... by which to distinguish between Man and Ape. I myself most assuredly know of none. I wish somebody would indicate one to me. But, if I had called man an ape, or vice versa, I would have fallen under the ban of all ecclesiastics. It may be that as a naturalist I ought to have done so." --Carolus Linnaeus, letter to J. G. Gmelin, February 14, 1747

Great video! A few thoughts and questions to ponder: 1. Does the Qur'an explicitly state that Adam and Eve (as) were sent down to Earth physically? Or could they have been sent to Earth as spirits to inhabit a human vessel? 2. Does the Qur'an definition of a human/mankind/nas map 1:1 with the scientific definition of human/mankind? Could Adam and Eve have been one or more evolutionary hops away from modern humans? Why not? At minimum the various races after them show micro evolution at work

and one a very simple question..the theory evolution states living organism evolved because of the conditions and environment to better cope it..but we have seen single celled animals can live in conditions that hardly allows life..and scientists thinks that was exactly the conditions of earth in its early life..what on earth made the single celled organism to evolve??????????because they can live in any kind of conditions..we should have not been here if their is no flaw in this theory..

Other then the Lucy misunderstanding, this is really not that bad (in comparison to the others). He is speaking as a theologian not a scientist, and his belief is based on faith. So based on his Faith its not as bad as the others who are taking a scientific rather then religious view.

@7:00 We have also documented Macroevolution, species changing into other species unable to interbreed with past species. Hundreds of Microevolutions amount to Speciation. Especially in ring species. Also, as the Microevolution happens a species undergoing change is able to interbreed with it's original species, it eventually leads to a sustainable population able to become a separate species.

Specially hadiths in which it was said that in paradise, we will be created in the form of Adam, have raised questions for me. The body of Adam in paradise, should be very different from our form. For example he is described in size than 60 yards. Allahhu allem. I hope you understand what I mean. I'm from Germany and my English is not my strong point.

So, evolution's OK as long as you don't suggest (gasp!) that humans are also part of it? Yeah, because some people feel so inadequate, they have to think of themselves as something intrinsically special, unrelated to the other forms of life. That also gives them a lot of leeway in terms of messing around with their fellow creatures. But to an extent, he's right. Humans are a special species; that's a no-brainer. Humans are the only life forms on the planet to make shit up.

"Lucy is not one specific person." Actually, Lucy is an individual woman, a Australopithecus Aferensis, the species that later evolved into Homo Sapiens, Neanderthals etc. Yasir Qadhi makes the following mistakes 1) Confuses Lucy as the "Mitochondiral Eve" and 2) Does not understand what scientists mean by "Mitochondiral Eve".

Stephem Jay Gould wrote a book on Evolutionary Theory, and it was no less than 1400 pages, and these CreaTURDS think they can spend, 10 minutes or so, and demolish Evolution, it's really comical as all of Biology and many fields of study is based on Evolutionary Theory. What a waste of time, but I feel for potholer54 who has to watch these videos to the end in order to expose the nuttiness of these CreaTURDS.

'blind faith is an ironic gift to return to the creator of human intelligence' 'we must question the logic of an all-knowing, all-powerful god who creates faulty humans and then blames them for his own mistake'. 'the invisible and the non-existent look very much alike' to live in hearts we leave behind if not to die. quotes we can all learn from.

and theory of evolution says and you believed it why..?did it show you the fossils of that ancestor or did it said that man and apes have some genes in similar...the theory of evolution fundamental statement is that living things evolved from simpler single celled organism to more complex ones and human being is the most evolved form..if we and apes share same ancestor..that would mean that ancestor had human+apes genes which is a contradiction to the first statement..

I see muslims believe Quran as source of all knowledge. But they never come up any new theory instead muslim religious scolours try to make compatible Quran with newly established theory. And if they fail to do so they will say its theory not facts.

we don't need to do that...that will be a rework which have been done thousands of times...search it my friend..if you ever have searched the drawbacks of evolution you will encounter thousands of research by atheist,Christians and Muslims.. infact their are reforms to the theory of evolution, the new Darwinian evolution that fixes some flaws..then the synthesis evolution that fixes some more flaws..the thing is scientists have not yet find a better explanation that's why this theory is their.

Muslims have this tendency to separate humans from the rest of the animal kingdom so that they can justify their faith .To them it is considered sinful to consider a human as an animal. They come up with very vague arguments to back up this claim. There has been observed a tren with islamic apologists compared to say christian apologists. christian apos tend to be reluctant to agree with science. While islamic apos want to befriend science in an effort to legitimize the claims of the quran/hadith.

another fundamental flaw..the cause of evolution...the environment the condition..it says organism and species evolved to survive in the conditions and those that did not evolved were extincted or their population became less and less with passage of time..ok then take a amoeba for example the scientists today knows that single celled organism can live in conditions that are hardly favorable for any kind of life and that was the case with our earth in its early days..

haha true, if only they saw through our eyes, they'd hate being in their theistic mindset themselves. you know we've been through that phase of questioning and doubting and pushing ourselves to find the most plausible answers. we may not have all of them but we are definitely more consciously evolved then when we started out as and the journey goes on. We take solace in the fact that this world is more beautiful and lively than any promised paradise contrived from small and weak imaginations.

read my replies from bottom to top.....ok continuing how amoeba on earth could evolve because of its environment and conditions as we are searching for single celled animals on mars and some speculate they may be on Venus....single celled animals can live in conditions that can hardly provide anything for life..what made them to evolve...these are just basic and fundamental flaws of theory of evolution i will need a whole book to point out all.

micro evolution is proved we see it genes are similar in animals and they do make a hierarchy but the big gun one whole specie came out of another is not proved we haven't seen this..because we are not evolving nor are apes evolving into..man...so your equation micro evolution = macro evolution has no scientific base it is an assumption made when we saw micro evolution...

What truly is sad is that it was Middle East scholars that advanced Greek and Roman understanding when they translated their works, 800-1100, but then Hamud Al-Ghazali (sp) happened and said math was of the devil, and they haven't recovered yet from that debacle to science. Algebra came from AL-Jabar, and much of the early naming rights were done by Middle East scholars

I don't think he is lying, I just think he is ignorant of facts (such as saying science has a presumption that there is no god, when science actually has no presumptions; everything must be proven). . If the Qur'anic references are ambiguous, then it isn't correct because it hasn't made a statement of fact. Ambiguous means open to multiple interpretations. m-w: "doubtful or uncertain especially from obscurity or indistinctness"

their are thousands of other theories about evolution but the thing is most of the scientists or all of them will never except them if their is anything that will prove the existance of God..because most of them or almost all of them are atheist...that will degrade all their life time work and achievements and for people like dawkins no one will buy his books anymore...what will that old poor man do for living??? this is completely a political issue not a science issue..wake up buddy

if the theory of evolution does not mention adam and eve it does not mean they were not their and humans beings not came from them....a theory is a set of assumptions made on some facts to explain a phenomena and in science several theories for understanding one phenomena can exist... theory of evoloution is not a reality..if has many flaws though it explains many things with facts but it has too many assumptions too.

I'm sorry, but the land based animals would seem to come from a "walking fish" but if you really think that is where animal life originated, you and your god is failing entirely. Life did not begin in water, it began as chemicals and not necessarily in water. If you want to go further, the origin goes into particles known as stardust.

If it is all absolute and non ambiguous then most muslims betray their faith by not enslaving the rest of the world and killing infidels. If it is metaphorical, then the world laughs at your gratuitous zealously. An excellent example of a catch-22, and a display of how islam has joined the other monotheisms in their death throes.

'Allah has created thing which you don't know about', such a naive statement can be interpreted as scientific fact is repulsive. because it doesn't hold weight, this can be warped into any situation imaginable. aliens, dimensions, microbes, parallel universe. Discoveries that can shake the foundations of our existence will have no impact on these pickled brained goons because 'God said hes created thing which we dont know about' end of story. 04:47 "We also have no problems affirming anything that science has, as of yet, said." Great! Science says that fresh water and salt water mix; al-Qur'an says they don't. I'm glad you agree that al-Qur'an is wrong. Science not only says that humans are descendants from a common ancester that's shared with the great apes; science says we ARE great apes. Science says that anatomically modern humans (H. sapiens sapiens) have been around for at least 100,000 years, not "20 or 30 or 40 thousand."
