I have a rechargeable Remington F4, it must've fallen to my stone tile floor at least 4-5 times and flew apart screen and blades, thankfully each time I was able to reassemble it and have it still working. Very durable for an electric shaver, Kudos Remington.

The protective cap doesn't fit properly, always falls off. Did you not have this problem?

I've had mine for many years, and I love it. Every four years or so I replace the foil and blades ($20 or less). Good point about not using it to shave a couple of days worth of stubble, I've also found that it doesn't work as well in that scenario---not a problem for me though, as I shave every day.

+justsomeguytoyou Oh, and I was surprised to read the comments and review about the foil being tricky to remove and replace; I've never had a problem with that, it just slides on and off. The foil on mine is at least four years old, and it's never given me any problems as far as durability goes.

I keep mine just for shaving close to the nostrel`s.....then I wet shave using proper dual edged safety blades in a butterfly / shaving soap....its actually quicker ....and gives a much closer shave ...+ you can get to play with all the post shave creams ...I recommend Proraso (Italy )....feels / smells great.

From personal experience, this thing sucks. Took forever to shave 4 day stubble, neck area was disaster. Cheek is ok, very rough shaver. The only good part about it is the side burn trimmer.

It's "tricky" intentionally, because "they" (IMHO) actually want you to accidentally damage the foil screen in the process, so that you'll have to either replace both the foil and cutters soon ( "they" don't just sell the foil screen alone) or buy a new razor. Effin' piece of crap!
