Remnant 1 is actually really, really good. Dark Souls with guns - in very positive way.

Remnant from the ashes was so good that I'd buy Remnant 2 without second thoughts!

Definitely a Day one for me. First one was quite a surprise for me and they deserve a day one purchase from me on the sequel.

Remnant is one of rare games i randomly start playing and it was - wow, what is this. I had no idea it exists. Two more games which suprised me like Remnant - Titanfall 2 and Vanquish.

Getting the ultimate edition. The dlc for From the Ashes, especially the last one, was awesome. Met alot if friends playing that game and we're coming back.

Just pre ordered the ultimate edition. Remnant from the ashes was one of those free epic games where I was like ehh why not try it. Instantly hooked. Gotta show my support this time around.

If you've never played the first one, you're missing out. It's fantastic, and brutally difficult solo.

I hope they bring back the rat men world. It was like a skaven invasion and it was fun. Fast rats with cross bows. Large rats with shields and halbreds. And collasal rats that are hulk like. I really hope they come back in Remnant 2.

I tried the first game through gamepass without any expectations. I was blown away and immediately bought the game and all the dlc's. I'm waiting for reviews for the second game and if the game is as good as it looks I will buy the ultimate edition.

Day ONE for me. The first game was awesome. Assuming this one works (with little doubt it will given how the 1st was) it will be awesome.

There are 3 starting archetypes (4 if you get the more expensive edition) with more in the world to discover and are unlocked though as you play.

Couple correction here. #5 Combat - While yes sprinting n dodging in combat consume stamina you failed to mention that remnant 2 removed the stamina cost outside of combat to make traveling easier. #6 Archetype - Fairly sure 'classes' were also called Archetype in remnant one, the different feature now is that archetype mostly decide your passive feature where in remnant 1 armor did n archetype come with abilities tied to them (they also come with a trait you need to max if you want to use it on other archetype. #6.2 Archetype - there are indeed 4 base starting archetype if im not wrong but gunslinger isnt one of them, it's a preorder bonus. The 4th one that wasnt revealed yet is called hunter i believe. #6.3 Archetype - Mods have cooldown they are simply refilled differently than overtime, not that they cannot possibly be using mechanics available in the game. #7 Dual Archetype - You forgot to note that every archetype combination have a unique name ( which also change on which is the prime archetype) which tell your potential teammates which combination you're using. #11 PC Requirements - Simple bias on my part but a little annoyed that you didn't point out which other platform/system could play remnant 2 and if it was new gen exclusive or not.

is there some sort of matchmaking for this? so people play with full team ?

Can't wait for this game! Don't often preorder but I got the Ultimate bundle to support this smaller studio.

I never played From the Ashes but something about this game and franchise has drawn my attention to it, I just know it’ll be something amazing and worth my time.

I appreciate the mix of fantasy and sci-fi, this is more the latter though. Remnant was a pretty hard game, I played twice and I recognize this feeling of having completely diffferent experiences already back then, if they have worked on this to make the experience even more singular and varied, all the more kudos to the developers. different diffiuculty modes wouldn't hurt either.

Will there be crossplay?

It will probably be a while before I get this. I'm leaning towards starting as a Handler but I won't know for sure until they reveal what guns each arctype starts with.. I might start as another arctype to begin with guns I like then switch to the Handler.

So excited for this game and I believe there is one more archetype coming out. In the trailer for each of the archetypes there's 5 people standing. So I wonder what the last one is going to be. I also wonder if medic and the dog handler will have some synergy

Well imo solo in the first game became a slog the further in I got. To the point I gave up. It was always a co-op game with solo secondary. Hope it scales better solo in 2 as I did initially enjoy the first game. And to the get gud brigade I have better things to do.

As someone who got burned out of finishing the first game, should I go back and try it again? My main reason for stopping, is that I kept running into some swamp area and nothing I did, allowed me to get through it.

This randomization on enemies and subsequently items/loot is a double edged sword. It's a fun gimmick at first but when you want a specific item it sucks ass.

I bought the game cause i liked the first one but the first game had hella bugs that they refuse to fix the corsus dlc couldn't be played online couldnt join friends games if i had this dlc downloaded so if that is fix this will be one of my main games of the year

I played the first game and I had a blast. A game that's definitely worth the wait and buy on day 1. Though that said, I'll still rather wait for bundle after expansion is released in months or a year after game launch date. Cause I'm in no rush to be following gaming trend, FOMO in short.

Did they add anything new to Remnant 2? It looks exactly like the first game… Idk, the first one just felt like it was missing something. Repetitive gameplay, the leveling progression was lack luster and the level design did not make the world feel real.

I really enjoyed the first one. Only negative I had was enemy scaling. I didn’t like how it went off your highest item and you had to closely manage it vs unknown boss levels. There are times you’re better off not leveling up (or need to wait). You definitely don’t want to go all in on any single weapon like similar games.
