Closest i’ve ever gotten to killing him melee was with a guy on multiplayer. We were both using the Sha’Hala sword’s aoe attack, but only in the first phase (it can oneshot literally every orb in the room tho). Respect to you for actually killing him melee. My mind is blown Someone took the „Soulslike” tag on Remnant 2 a little too literally

You heckin' what?! I tip my hat to you, one melee build to another. I wrote this off as virtually impossible due to phase 2 being unreachable and phase 1 being inconsistent, but you actually pulled it off. By the way, orbs do suck, but with a tanky enough build, some nearby allies, crystal heart relic, and Burden of the Divine, you actually can tank them. Not that that is a super-specific setup or anything, haha. Also, I know dodging *perfectly* can help you survive as I've clutched it that way before personally, but I wouldn't rely on it without the evade invulnerability extension active.

I thought you'd like this one! Damn right I pulled it off! I was so excited when everything clicked, I found the build, and didn't break the boss (as shown, I had three prior runs that were near perfect and fell to the inevitable damning of bugs). I was going with tanky builds at first, but solo APOC just did not care how much health, shield, and regen I accrued. Plus, without damage rings, the war of attrition was so much worse than it ended up being (roughly 33 minutes of fighting smh). Appreciate you brotha!

This was actually amazing. Just the sheer determination to fight that boss continuously for half an hour. Wow. Great job! I was seriously rooting for you at the very end when his little minions start charging at you.

@@IHaveInsipidus Razorstone takes a percentage of a melee hit and adds 10% of that damage as bleed. If you crit Ravager in the face with scrap hammer for 5-8K your bleed stack was insane. It was enough to stagger most bosses on apocalypse. Blood Jewel is more of an access tool for other bleed accessories. Sad times but I understand why it was changed.

I will admit I killed him on Nightmare with only the spectral blade. But that has more reach than a normal melee weapon so you can still kill him if he glitches out.

Nicely done! Here's my true pure melee kill that I did on Veteran mode about a month ago: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oZ55mLqKqqvHeWw.html The day before that I had done it successfully on Survivor difficulty, but it failed to record the fight properly so I said "screw it" and did it on Veteran the next day. I didn't have any weapon mods and I only equipped the rusty repeater so I could aim at him to force him to do something when he flies up into the air and hovers. The balls were the absolute worst, the randomized timing on them is the pinnacle of bs. By the way, in the final "holdout" phase of the fight, you're immortal. The phase ends after a set duration or if a player takes lethal damage. You can sip a liquid escape to force the phase to end immediately.

There are a lot of melee weapons that have aoe or projectile moves and are completely viable for any fight! Just wanted to stay true to a pure melee only.

@@IHaveInsipidus yeah I just get bored shooting stuff constantly. I have the stone breaker sword on a life drain build. It's great for bosses that let me get close. And it's awful for bosses like this. Lol

I was just heated because I was trying to find some inspiration for my true melee playthrough and so many people do "melee" playthroughs which are not at all melee. All the respect for taking me being a dick and responding pleasantly
