Opposing force always had this off feeling to it. Kinda felt less like a game and more like you were a person in this world experiencing an actual disaster. It had this more horrific, raw, and real tone to it. This captures that feeling perfectly.

Seeing Shepard's eyes behind his mask really adds a level of humanity that is needed for him.

The look on goggle dude's face when shepherd dropped that container was priceless.

The ALICE gear, PASGT helmets, L-shape flashlights, M42 gas masks & BDUs are a nice change of pace from the more contemporary games and really take me back to when HL was orginally released.

Now I don't even know if you remember it or not. I will write that comment again. Civil Protection officers watch as a uniformed insurgent walks into a house containing a cache of weapons for the rebels. The civilian walks past the other civilians, and then looks back into the house. Entering the house, he quickly walks to the cache where the weapon is hidden and pulls it out. He stands against the wall and looks out into the corridor, preparing the weapon for firing. The shot then shows another subway car driving down the street and a group of subway cops getting out of it. Passing civilians look back at them warily and accelerate to get away faster. Another rebel hid behind the some big object opposite the car, who sees the metrocops from the back and has the ability to shoot from in the back. Metrocops are preparing to storm the house where the rebel entered at the beginning of the video. They stand near the door, talk, then slowly enter the door, looking around. The rebel in the house is waiting for the metrocops in the corridor and opens fire on them, killing several at once. When gunfire begins, a rebel on the street also opens fire on the backs of other metrocops. He kills one and wounds another. An active skirmish ensues. Another car of metrocops come, which drops another armed squad. Another rebel from the top floor opens fire on the metrocops and kills one with an accurate shot. The firefight continues, and the rebels kill and injure several more metrocops. The C.P. open fire and retreat, carrying the wounded and calling in the Alliance Patrol Soldiers, who immediately arrive with the support of a hunter helicopter gunship and APC. A rebel from the street runs into the house and warns of the arrival of the Patrol soldiers. The rebels and soldiers begin an active firefight, but the soldiers have the advantage. The rebels barely kill one soldier and injure another, but most of the shots go missing. The soldiers, on the other hand, open accurate suppression fire, in addition, the building begins to fire at the helicopter. During the dash from cover to cover, one insurgent is wounded by several shots. The defenders need to retreat, they will not be able to fight against soldiers with a support helicopter. The wounded rebel heroically remains in the house to stop the Patrol soldiers while his comrades leave through the back door. The remaining rebels leave, and the wounded remains in the house with weapons in hand, heavy rapid breathing, animal grin and grenades. Leaving the house, another rebel is killed, but the survivors rebels return fire and kill the metrocopes, who are ambushed.The remaining rebels flee and turning around. Then from the building comes the sounds of a short firefight, and then an explosion. Rebels run away in dark streets and hide. Then the street in front of the house is shown again, where the frame smoothly stops on the killed metrocop, and the soldiers of the Patrol run past him. The alarm siren screams. Like Freeman and Calhoun, what Shephard saw when he came to Black Mesa that day was dark and dangerous. Coming close to death numerous times, he still miraculously survived. I remember playing Opposing Force, back then, and saved so many Black Mesa security guards, scientists, and fellow grunts. Nostalgia! 💯😎👌
