I converted my son's ride on Bigfoot to an RC vehicle about 25 years ago. I used a 1/4 scale servo for the steering, installed bearings in the steering rods, put rubber inner tubes around the plastic tire/wheels and added a proper scale stuffed animal to the cockpit with his hands glued to the steering wheel so it looks like he is doing the actual driving. Very cool.

Try putting some type of rubber coating on the tires for the next iteration! It'll go faster because it will grip the ground much better.
