Where at in the up are you located? I'm also from the UP (around Houghton) I fish the Portage whenever I can.

@@david_noble_outdoors I live in Gladstone. I like fishing Ogontz Bay and Nahma for smallmouth bass during spring and summer. Walleyes, brook n brown trout, and the salmon species fall time. My brother and I go for the bluegills on the beds, sight fishing. Chinooks in the fall are always epic since our camp is located on a spawning river.

@@jussdank Awesome! I also fish for brookies in the river in late summer early fall time. We fish for suckers too but we do it in the spring time when they run up the river to spawn.

Funny, i could see the headframe in the back ground and i'm like dude i seen that place... I worked at the mine 4 or 5 years ago. Never got to experience fishing there but know many who loved it there. Pine Falls is a very nice place as well.

We have been utilizing S.U.P.'s at Frontier Lodge on the East Arm of Great Slave Lake since 2010. So fun catching BIG Lake Trout on the paddle boards - I have a couple videos on my channel of us fishing with the paddle boards! Looks like you had a great time with the kayak's - I would like to try that!!

Jay, in all your clips of walleyes, their dorsal fins are up when you hold them under their bellies. Whenever I try and get photos like that I can’t seem to consistently replicate it; some will and some won’t. Is there a trick to getting that dorsal fin up??
