Remote Winter Canvas Hot Tent Camping Surrounded by Wolves Campfire in Snow Dog Sled No Talking asmr

Along with our sled pulling dog Bella we trek into a remote and wild backcountry for a winter hot tent camping trip. The lakes are well frozen from the deep winter cold. It is a challenging hike into the remote lake. We set up camp and not soon after we are visited by a pack of wolves. They howl in the distance but end up getting within a few hundred meters of camp so we kept our dog close so they would not lure her out. We end up have a great stay have a nice campfire in the snow and cook inside the tent on our wood burning stove before making the trek back.

A true lol at 32:30.. Cool dog Cool couple Always survey for widowmakers, especially above where you spend most of your time and if the wind comes up. Absolutely loved not hearing the rest of the world. The center of the universe was at your camp. Excellent. Blessings

I don’t have Tik Tok 🖐🏼! Your lab was having a blast! I had a black lab that stopped growing when he reached 150 + pounds! He was enormous. He would find rabbit’s nests and just sniff them but 1 time a bunny squeaked and he went about 4 feet off the ground. Just a big goofball.

They eneded up coming within a few hundred yards of camp trying to lure our dog out i think.

@@TedBairdShorts Yes, you have that right. Coyotes do that very thing. Good on ya for being aware and keeping Bella safe. Unless you managed to see them under some moon or starlight, they actually might have been closer than a hundred + yards. Wolves have a little known ability to make it sound like they are farther away than they really are. Not sure how they do it. If I were to guess, however, since they are quite intelligent pack hunters, my guess is they had a few quite close say maybe even 150', but those ones aren't verbal. They let the rest of the pack which are still far back do the howling and lip smacking. One way to determine if that was the case, since you had beautiful days with no precip, you could scout around 360 of your camp the next morning. If you see their tracks you can rightfully say "you sneaky elusive bastards"...or in the sense of canine..your sneaky *itches and bastards..haha👍🙏

Yes she's a good girl. She doesn't care for them either but once the snow is too harsh on her feet we put them on to protect her

A good wife, that shares your experiences, a great dog, that is smart as a whip, you guys really have it good. You are one lucky man sir. It's not many couples that can live the life you have. You guys are blessed. P.S. Was the extra lighting and fire for the wolves we heard the night before??

Thank you Bruce. No the fire was just for warmth and enjoyment outside the tent. It went down to about -18°c or 0°f that night so it was nice to have. The Wolves didn't return the 2nd night but they actually ended up coming within a few hundred yards of camp about 280° around us but not on the lake just out of sight in the woods but they were making a racket but only on the the first night. I think they were trying to draw our dog Bella out. She was barking at them a lot but we kept her close and thankfully she is good at staying close. I bet her bark brought them in. Some herding dogs probably would have fallen for it as it's in their blood to try to chase off Wolves and coyotes etc. Was a cool experience
