90% of rads I’ve come across in my short 15 years of working on central heating systems don’t have any movement in the pipework so that wouldn’t work too well?

where can you get those "Rack lamps" from?

Anyone who has ever bled air from a radiator will know that you close the bleed screw as soon as water spits out instead of air. A closed circuit central heating system is under pressure - anything from 0.8 to 2 Bar. If you release all of that pressure, as stated in the video, it has to go somewhere - all over your carpet as it ejects a stream of inky black water!

Well meaning clip but it really needs some close-ups of what is going on. A static camera isn't really good enough to present the information properly.

I have never removed a Radiator the Tool used sounds good. But surely the point of Removing a Radiator is to get rid of any Sludge in it ? So why would you want to keep the water in it for the sake of the cost adding Inhibitor and saving water..

Few common problems which could potentially make this device completely useless....no play in pipes, TRV valves not shutting off fully which can be quite common, also any rad that’s too big, being way too heavy with water inside also.

15 years ago I designed a small integrated part to attach to the radiator so it could be removed with the water inside, I was going to have it made 2 years ago but after hunting on the net found that someone has designed one similar to it already, I'm still not sure people have them fitted though, couldn't find it again but I've still got a pic of it

Shame on you haters, so you didn’t like it. Think of this video if you get muck on the carpet. You can’t have too many options in the van! You know you will use them compression caps & not replace them!! Then what! Your be draining out muck for 20 minuets & kick the bucket over flipping the rad! Yep I did it! That day I wish I had these!

Rather a long winded promo. There are much quicker ways to do it. Once you have the rad off, turn it upside down and take outside to empty. Also , always cap off a TRV, they can open up if it gets cold..

what about a spare pair of rad valves and screw them onto the rad unions as you may not have those fancy gadgits.or better again just freeze the radiator job done.

why would you need to remove a radiator and save the water, surly if the radiator needs changing your not going to fill it with the old water, and if you need to drain system you dont need your toy, just a bit confused

So why not close the valves and unlock one valve drain rad into a bowl replacing water into system tank when rad is re fitted not loosing anti corrosion inhibitors.
