Steps on how to remove the Bios Password from a Toshiba Laptop Model C655D, The steps Would Be Similar For Any In This Model Series, Please Exercise Caution So As Not To Short Anything Other Than The Solder Pads Mentioned, Yo Are Attempting This At Your Own Risk So Take The Necessary Precautions Like Wearing An Anti Static Wristband Etc.

Thanks man, you're a life saver! It worked for my Toshiba satellite Model PSAFGU. No need to remove the RAM if you can locate and access the XXX connectors.

my keyboard does not work, buy a usb keyboard, but it does not respond until the windows start, before it worked from the start of the pc, I do not know if I change the configuration in bios, now my pc is to restore or delete temporary files on the black screen and not is there a countdown and it does not detect usb that I can format from an external adapter or do you know if I can delete temporary files from another computer? my pc is a11 sp5001

*The X's again? I seen it on another video, but there is literally no Xxx letters on mine, have a C version too. Suggestions that actually work?* Does he literally mean I should do three things at once? How many hands does he think a person has? A regular one has two, not three, so what hand exactly should press the pc on when the hands are busy on the first task? Like, he is telling people they can do it solo, but when he says do three things at once? How?

@ Villa Lorfils Thanks so much for creating this video. I have a Satellite L55 A5226 but I can't seem to find the jumper. I looked all over the web for where they may be located (like for schematics). I don't see any xx's, even under the RAM chips, and I have tried connecting two points on almost everything on this board. tried removing the CMOS battery, using "Toshiba" as the password, etc. Please assist.

Under the bottom most ram slot you should see a sticker. Around the stickered area, you should see what is labelled in fine print, to be JCMOS If you can’t find it around the stickered area, you will need a heat gun. Heat the sticker with mild heat from the heat gun and peel off the sticker gently. Under it you should see a JCMOS labelling. You should either see two contact points with bare soldering on it or they should be bare PCB area, Take a small flat blade screw driver in order to bridge the two contact points. hold these for at least 15 seconds. This should be time enough to clear or reset your CMOS

However, I looked throughout the entire motherboard such as around the CMOS battery, under the RAM, and took off the stickers there but could not see the JCMOS or the two contacts that I would have to jumper. Do you have the schematics? Thanks again.

It worked. Thanks. I tried everything, even disable the PC and remove the CMOS battery for a few days, yet nothing seemed to work... the only thing I did not try was doing it with the memory module in, as you described. This video is really helpful. I have Toshiba Satellite C55-B2570. For this model, instead of XXX pins, the two pins needed to be jumped is marked as JPW. I followed your steps but I FORGOT to REMOVE the hard disk before I jumped the JPW pins. After I put everything back in and powered on the laptop. The BIOS password prompt window no longer showed up -- good ! it was removed successfully, BUT a window asking for HDD or SDD password began showed up, I don't know the HDD password, how could I remove or bypass the HDD or SSD?

@@Villain2techstuffLorfils Hello again, no the beeps stopped. I checked and it turns out I had not put in the memory card properly. However, the blue window keeps popping at the start. I could not bypass the password, no matter how many times.i tried. I suppose I'll try to start it up using a flash drive so I can restore the laptop to its original state. I'll see if that helps. I'd hate to have to do that because I have so much content in it 😒

@@gisselgarci Before restoring the computer, do you have a docking station? if you do, you can copy all of your data to another drive then restore and copy the data back to the computer, if not then try using another drive to restore preferably SSD if possible.

No it will not erase any of your information from your computer, that information is stored on your HDD or SSD .

If It Is the Same Model , On The Board Just Below the Memory Card, There Will Be 2 Solder Points With "XXX" Stamped On The Board Next To The X's , They Are The Points That Has To Be Jumped Or Shorted.
