This is how to remove a door handle / knob without visible screws. This is a very common style of door lock and many people don't know how to remove them so they end up damaging the door or the hardware while trying to remove it. Its actually very simple to do you just need to know one thing........

Funny enough I "disappeared" from said employer cause we ran out of jobs. Hm.... Ok how are we knee deep in jobs and all a sudden everyone is off for 3 weeks. Yeah nah I quit. I'll work at McDonald's at least it's steady

First ever time, removing and installing a new door handle. Neighbourhood has been having break-ins and our old door knob just wasn’t cutting it because it couldn’t lock. Thanks to Bill now I actually feel safe in my own home again

Thank you so much! I didn’t actually need to to replace my door knob but the lock was stuck so I just removed the interior door knob and unstuck the lock!. Voila! Door knob works perfectly well now!

Changed all of my doorknobs this weekend using a flathead 🤦🏾 (drill has been ordered). So I get to the only doorknob like this one & was confused. 😂 I googled "how to...) & found your video then & expeditiously changed it. 👍🏾 #singleladyhomeowner I do a lot of my own repairs so thanks for sharing.

I've worked on houses, installed a BUNCH of doorknobs (uninstalled a bunch, too) and never seen one of these damned things!!! This one had no "hole" it was a perfectly flush, basically invisible button. Had to take a super bright light and go around and around with screwdriver to find it.. thanks to your video!!!

Thank you so much. Took a while to find this clip but well worth it . I didn't know if I was going to break something but watching this assured me of the right action to get the knob off. Enabled me to spray lubricant into the mechanism therefore no need to replace the lock. Bunnings should create a library of these clips

Thanks Bill. This worked just as you said, enabling me to remove a failed bedroom door knob mech. I'm off to the hardware store now to buy a replacement. Without your video advise my next move would have been to use an angle grinder (the mech is stuffed anyway) but your way is so much more civilized. Cheers.

How did you get out though, I’m currently locked in my apartment. Does your bedroom need a key to get in? Because I got to the last bottom screw and it won’t screw all the way out. Idk if it’s because I need someone from the outside to turn with the key or what
